That price drop is tempting me...but I still can't quite wrap my head around actually buying this disappointing movie. I know I'm a "completist", and I'll wind up buying some version at some point when the price drops; and I do like to treat myself to premium packaging when available...

...nope, still can't do it. My store had at least a dozen on the shelf the other day, all with torn up J-cards. I think I'll wait a little longer...

The store down the road from where I work has several copies with intact J-cards, but like you, I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. I bought the first movie on blu-ray before I switched to 4K, but the sequel was rather silly. FOMO, though...

Same here. Well I’ll know for sure by Friday. I drive for work and pass several within a 100 mile radius. So if by Friday I don’t see too much of a dent has been made, I’ll wait for the $18 price drop

And come on people, they could barely sell the digital code for $9 when it was $35 please don’t try now that it’s $23 lol

Surprisedly, I have no regrets paying $34.99 versus dealing with Best Buy's store to home shipping methods, since these are OOS locally.

I did enjoy looking at all the steelbooks and finding the "right" one. That's my only solace for paying full price. I also had not bought anything in a while so kind of just gave in.

I knew it was going down especially when I saw all of the posts of all the inventory left.

I got this on release day (3/30) for full price, $34.99, $37.08 with tax. While it would be nice to save $15, it doesn’t bother me that this dropped in price. I’m fine paying full price to get what I want when I want. Saving the $15 is almost equivalent to saving $5 a month. It’s not like that $15 was going to sit in a high interest account for the next 30 years and give me a nice ROI.

For those that waited, good on you. For those that already bought it at a higher price, don’t sweat it.

Actually, I've taken myself out of the market for this particular SteelBook. I scored a copy of the 3D version a few months ago, using credit card rewards to pay virtually nothing for it. There's no way I'm double dipping on this one. I can't believe the same copies were still sitting on the shelves the last time I was in my local store. Why couldn't they be DUNE SteelBooks?
