My Walmart pre-order hasn’t moved either. Ordered it day one - it still just says “Placed.”

As annoying as it is, I suggest that anyone in reasonable distance of a store check them even if you have an online order (that hasn’t shipped yet). I checked 2 of my local Walmarts and one of them had plenty of 4k’s and the other even had a couple of steelbooks.

It was a nice surprise for me since my expectations are always incredibly low when it comes to Walmart.

Went to Walmart at 9:30, got a really good parking spot (took it a sign of luck). Just 1 steelbook, and it was mine!

Just chatted with customer service. My order was lost in transit. The agent told me the best thing to do was cancel and reorder it, and they told me the steelbook was still in stock.

When i went to reorder, it said Out of Stock. UGH

I complained and they gave me a $15-off promo code, so i ordered the standard edition for pick-up today. I'll check if they have the steelbook when i go though.

The same happened with me and I did a chat with Walmart on Sunday and was told the reason it hasn’t shipped is because they currently don’t have any copies left to ship. Because of this I’m going to go to Walmart in a few hours in hopes to buy a copy in the store, and then just cancel my online order.

I want to own Wicked now that it’s on physical media and don’t want to risk missing out on this steelbook.

When my replacement copy arrives, how can I quickly check if it has any pixelation?
I don't think skipping straight to the balloon heist would help because when I did that with my defective disc, it didn't pixelate.

Just got the 4k disc yesterday. The picture and sound quality are fantastic. I can’t believe it but Wicked absolutely slaps in the bass department. Super rich wonderful lows in my 9.4.4 system. Great Atmos mix. Demo worthy. I hadn’t seen this movie and it was fun all around.

... i always buy multiples in case of shipping damage, plus the spine sticker with the title on Steelbooks has to be perfectly aligned and cut properly, with an equal amount of clear plastic edge trim all around. Got one worth keeping, other 3 Steelbook copies will be driven back to store for full refund ....

What’s the point of pre-ordering the DAY IT GOES LIVE if you don’t have a copy guaranteed for you??

My Walmart had one Steelie. I haven't even seen the movie so just bought the regular 4k. I'll check it out this weekend.

Definitely worth checking out the store yourself, none of the Walmarts in my city reported that they had any steels in stock online, but when I went to go pick up the standard at lunch, I found a few copies on the shelf and picked it up

I just recently started collecting, so this is all new to me. Have you guys experienced this in the past? If so, what happens to those of us that pre-ordered the steelbook from Walmart? Are our orders going to be cancelled due to insufficient stock to meet the demand? Will the order eventually be filled, and if so, how long does that normally take? I've gone to 5 Walmarts in my city and all have empty shelves. Out of stock online too.

The same thing happened to me with Twisters a few months ago. My preorder never ended up shipping and I eventually just cancelled it myself. Luckily it was in stock on release day and I was able to place an order which arrived the next day. The same can’t be said for Wicked though.

I picked up my copy at Barnes and Noble this afternoon, and so far watching it, I don't get some of the comments regarding the de-Atmos'ed mix, I think it sounds great

well i haven't call my local walmart but early this morning website claims got steelbook in however website does't show it and out of stock<-plus fact i wasn't able to walmart today

i thought about steelbook but last friday i had already order standard 4k friday ebay gruv saying get thurs

i'm glad i didn't have to worry about this steelbook i kindof knew this was going to be a mess being walmart exclusive 4k steelbook
