Pissed... Got my car back after having my mechanic check out a clicking noise I'm hearing after I drive for 10 minutes or so. He did an alignment (I needed it anyway) and after I leave guess what I hear? THE CLICKING! He swears there is no sound but I'm convinced Helen Keller could hear this sound. I didn't go back for the sake of avoiding cataclysm.

This recently happened to my stepdad. His car overheats and the mechanic didn't fix it. It's his fault though because he refuses to switch to a new place.

I'm switching immediately. He's always done great work but I know what I'm hearing. It's not the axles or boots because I've had those checked and replaced. I'm going to get the car checked at the other place on Thursday. It just seems in the last 2 months the car has been a money pit.

That's good. I do not get loyalty to a person/shop who does not do their job properly.

no joke..

over the last month or so, I've been looking outside...seeing this wonderful California weather and have wondered how people can live where things are so wild and crazy..

floods
droughts
earthquakes
fires
tsunamis
tornados

wow, Northern California is like an oasis right now..besides being slightly seasonally cooler than normal, we have nothing like that at all!!

later in the fire season(aug/sept), we may have some scares, but, that is about it..

i've lived in California my whole life and I have never experienced an Act of God that has affected my way of living..

i just don't see how you people can do it..

I live in Alabama, born and raised because my mom is a moron.

But as soon as I graduate I'm leaving. I'm not sure where I want to live though.

I am re-reading the comic version of Akira in its entirety for the first time in 16 years... man, the plots and graphics in those books (1 - 6) are much more intense than the movie version! I wish the proposed live-action movie(s) would be based on the comic version now.

My oldest Daughter is leaving Friday for Ecuador where she will be meeting up with the USNS Comfort and spending the next 8 weeks helping out the locals and onboard medical staff...
