New Disney titles for 2012 (Rescuers Aristocats Pocahontas etc.) !

I live in Staten Island, New York and I went to Best Buy to get my "Rescuers" "Pocahontas" and "Lady and the Tramp 2" Blu-Rays, got them cheap a little over 60, but now I have to try and make that money back ...

I wonder why several people have reported that they had trouble finding a copy without damage at their Best Buy. I normally can find the best copies there.

Does the UK releases usually have the upcoming Diamond edition trailers? Cinderella comes out in less than a week there!

I still can't believe they stacked the dvd discs on top of each other. I'm never gonna use em, but still. So dumb. Why is Disney getting so cheap?

Anyone else curious as to why Lady & the Tramp II has disc artwork but the rest all have plain blue discs? Why has Disney gone the route of so many other studios and decided to release blank artwork on discs? I thought they had money lol

Has anyone heard anything about the other titles that are supposed to be released by Disney this year - per the news/press release seen several months ago?

The titles I am referring to that have yet to receive release dates include:
Atlantis: the Lost Empire, Flubber, the Absent-Minded Professor, Son of Flubber, Brother Bear, While You Were Sleeping

Thanks to overprinting, however, the WWII "Front Lines" set can still be had for the $30's, Tomorrowland (and the Ward Kimball classics and Walt's Epcot City film therein) is still going for the $20's, and a few copies remain of the Rarities Shorts sets in that range.
You could get the "Disneyland USA" set for the 30's, but if you want the 10th Anniversary special with the original Tiki Birds, it's also on "Your Host Walt Disney", which DMR was giving away free at one point, but is now up to $75.

...Abandon ye all hope of Zorro Seasons 1&2, however.

The best deal for the Treasures, since so many are OOP and expensive, is the D23 exclusive set the Disney Store has online for $499 - it is spectacular and has everything except the Zorro seasons.

It's currently sold out but, it is definitely an amazing set.

Still haven't received my Aristocats/Rescuers from DMC. It shipped on 08/08, I thought I would have it by now.

I just watched the rescuers and now I'm trying to go watch down under, but when I keep pressing top menu it just goes back to the rescuers menu, not the menu where you can pick which movie you want to watch. Anyone know how to get there?

I wish Disney would STOP using 2-hub cases where the DVD disks are stacked on the same hub! These are 3-disk sets, they should be in 3-disk cases with the center swing tray! Not crammed onto the same hub.

Luckily I still have some normal 3-disk cases on hand.

I just opened it, and it made me have to take a double take to make sure I actually saw disc art, my guess is that its a Diamond Edition sequel. Maybe, we can only hope that Cinderella and its sequels will have disc art too.

Am I the only one who the Rescuers cover actually bothers them? I understand the idea of having characters from both movies, but it looks weird to me having to different backgrounds split directly down the middle.

RDU looks very good. Makes the old DVD look like the eyesore I always said it was. Maybe it aint a CAPS transfer, but brother, it finally looks like I remember it looking back in 1990.

and i think the lady and the tramp 2 has disc art since it was 1st released in the uk, by itself and as a 2 pk with the 1st one so thats why it has disc art incase anyone was wondering

The UK releases have nothing to do with the US every release they have had disc art, I believe someone said Aristocats and Pocahontas have both gotten disc art.
