It's possible that it saves on both the HDD and the server. If you were to look in application saved data management, you'd probably see something there. But it very well could just save on the server. But, I'm not really sure. Sorry.

There was no Destiny file in the Application Saved Data section, which is why I have to ask. I'll know later whether it's on the server.

I'm pretty sure there are things in this game that will take your level 20, or 25, 30 (or whatever) Guardian and make them even stronger. Your level is based on "leveling up" your "points", if you will. But there are items (armor and such) that can make you even stronger. Uncommon, rare, very rare armor and guns are out there. That will stretch out your Guardian more than what your level says. I could be wrong, but from what I've gathered, this is how it works.

The save file is on the server, so you can play anywhere you are logged in to PSN. However, it means if your connection is off for whatever reason, you're kind of screwed.

Hate the loading times. Dunno if better on PS4. Also disconnects with removed from game world

Played enough to hit 7 tonight and tried a pvp game. The pvp was pretty much the norm. Not my thing anymore, but it seemed ok.

Overall though, the game is pretty fun. Anyone know if mobs scale? I went back and was shooting level 1s when I was 6 (with new lvl 6 gun) and it felt like they were just as strong as before. Took same shots and did same dmg.

I do like the menu look/feel for gear and stuff. Managed to get into a couple public events (the walker), but it was just me and normally one other person, so that failed.

Does anybody have an understanding on how Vanguard and Crucible "Marks" work?

I see in terms of Crucible that there's a "reputation" meter, but that seems to go towards your rank. Not sure if rank and marks are two different things.

Is there anything special that needs to be done in order to collect the Vanguard Armory items included with the disc? I went to the Vanguard QM but there are no items that are available for selection other than if you purchase them.

I think you have to be level 5 before you can purchase them. Normally they'd be level 20.

No issues with the ps4 version. I played for about 7 or so hours without issues.

I had no problems, but loading times suck. That may be ISP related. It is no different than beta.

Loot is much scarcer. I did not feel the need to buy stuff in the beta.

I hit level 5 and the items were nowhere to be found. Where do they show up?

Try this: first, exit the game. Go to the PS4 menu, under Settings>PSN>Restore Licenses. Because it seems that's it's a common problem where the redeemed code items don't show up until you restore licenses. It seems like a very common thing on PS4, and supposedly this fixes the problem. I haven't reached level 5 yet, so I'm not sure if that works or not.

Anyone else go to the Bungie/Destiny event down at their studio in Bellevue Washington? Fun times indeed, they gave out some really cool stuff including to the first few hundred people a copy of the game disc for PS4 that came in a plain sleeve. The disc was numbered in black ink and we were informed that it was one of the first 600 discs printed by Sony that was given to employees two weeks ago to play. They then asked to turn them back in and Bungie surprised the fans by giving them out. I got one signed by a bunch of them, just wasn't expecting something unique like that to be given away.

Having a blast playing so far but i'm cheesed at Bungie. They literally just started giving out Crucible marks so I ended up missing out on 20+ marks for yesterdays games we played.

I've unlocked Vanguard areas strikes now and my friend who has done it got all rare gear items. So deinitely looking to hit that up soon.

A few thoughts..

- Why you can't chat to randoms on the tower / in game is beyond me, seems so stupid. You dance about a little with people see what people are doing then party up and leave the tower together for a mission. The way to invite people into your fire team should be way easier to. Click one button done, no waiting around and taking you to another screen.

- Not sure if because i'm a low rank but I wish there was a game mode where everybody started with same weapons. Because i'm running into people level 20+ and they are killing me instantly due to my lack of arsenal and gear.

- Not enough maps or game modes in the crucible so far.

- I really hate, activate something and defend the area! type missions, and this game has had a lot so far.

- Transporting you out of a mission after you complete it is lame. There should be an option to stay or leave. I find loads of cool places to visit during a mission that i'd like to explore after the objective but i'm sucked right back to my ship after.

- It's strange to me is why the game isn't full of people running around. I am in Russia doing patrols but no one is around.. the odd person is "near me" but with probably a million people playing this I figure the lobbies would be packed with people.. I am not sure what the player count is for each server / area at a time but say if each area has a limit of 24 players roaming at one time it should be full all the time right? This game seems like such a closed experience so far, unless you're with friends.

I didn't fall for the hype for this game. I played the alpha about 8-10 hours and enjoyed it a lot to start with then got a little samey. The beta I only played for a few hours, and so far the game is exactly the same. I guess I have to just power through and get to the new stuff and hopefully it gets better. I don't regret buying it so far, but its definitely not GOTY or GOAT for me at the moment.

I expected a super open world, rich will content, explore loads of different cities on Earth, Mars, Venus and other planets. But its nothing like that.. I'm sure stuff will be added with DLC but its just so.. empty at the moment.
