Which is why I will more than likely never get a job in the field that I am so passionate about. Which is honestly too bad. It wasn't always like this. But lately, that's how it is. And that isn't fair and balanced journalism. That's bias at its finest and I don't get why that is what is desired nowadays in the industry. This is dishonest journalism. And a prime example of this is Bloody Disgusting Which should be relabeled Bloody Disgusting Shills because it is so loaded with ass kissers and writers being paid off. Its no longer about people sharing honest opinions on films anymore. It's about politics and glad-handing. Which does the filmmakers and studios absolutely zero favors. How can an independent filmmaker improve their craft if they get nothing but praise for their work no matter how flawed it is? How can a studio improve their output if critics aren't able to be brutally honest about the quality of their films?

This quote from MST3K alum Kevin Murphy sums it all up perfectly. "It's the tendency for audiences to be so damned complacent that makes the overall quality of Hollywood suck so much." and i so agree with Ocp.

Cobra is a classic 80s action film and it's Ramboraph4life's favorite movie and one of Ocpcommunication's favorite movies/actioners and one of my fave action films, it's a classic of action 80 movies and the 80s/90s were lightning in a bottle for movies as i agree with them as them with me are huge fans of Stallone and Arnold and action films and grew up on 80s and 90s action films. I feel Cobra is better than the overrated Bourne films and at least Cobra has better action, more fun and thrills.

Ocpcommunications is more popular than Ramboraph4life you know yet both did a nice podcast commentary on how much they hate the horrible Halloween 5 which i agree sucked badly and i saw 5 in theaters when i was 8 and what an endurance test and here's an MST3K style commentary podcast.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdg21UMltS8

And here is one of Ocpcommunication's positive reviews like on The Shape of Water which is his favorite movie of 2017 as much as it's mine:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-adFZqVCFU&t=30s

Then Blade Runner 2049 his pick for second best film of 2017:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vb0ETqCTG1Y&t=322s

And a hilarious rant to his pick of the worst film of 2016 which is also my choice known as Ghostusters aka Ballbusters
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzrfsDUoOxM
And a hilarious rant on Curse of Chucky which i agree with him complete with a funny parody song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL2e-lh1Lsc

Ocpcommunications is a very smart and sophisticated reviewer who has honesty then lie like some reviewers. Although i don't agree on IT 2017 when i liked it but he says he's seen the kid story in both the 1990 and 2017 films done better in Monster Squad which i agree when we both like the adult half of the story better in the 1990 film/novel and he's looking forward to the second part to improve on part 1 since i agree the adult part of the story is superior to the kid one.

Personally for Halloween and i agree with them about their rant. Screw this! Halloween is a DEAD franchise. Bury it. There's no need for this and NOBODY asked for this. Just these moronic, brain-washed fans who like any of the garbage Hollywood shills out. I don't give a shit if people say I hate everything. Hate is GREAT, we need more hate! At least it's genuine and can't be faked. Hate for post-Return of the Jedi Star Wars, hate for SJWs, hate for nostalgia ridden sequels (Blade Runner 2049 didn't fall for that and was respectful to the first movie), hate for hack writers and directors, hate for every bad remake and reboot, and hate for these creepy, misogynistic, child raping studio executives who greenlight these shitty movies and disrespect the actual moviegoers IE US even them (the two reviewers)! Like Palpatine would say "Let the hate flow through you." And let this franchise rest in peace in favor of fresh new horror icons/new franchises like Wolf Cop, Conjuring and more.
So, we are all moronic for wanting another Halloween? And you agree with that? Ok.................so, what are you doing here?
By the way, if you want a history of film lesson anyime, just PM me, happy to oblige. . You don’t need Youtube.

Yeah and then him and his idiot YouTube buddies talk about retconning H4s ending and having Jaime coming back to fight Micheal? that sounds even worse than 5 and 6.

I stopped in Barnes & Noble today and they had the July issue of Rue Morgue magazine out early. (Official newsstand street date is 7/1). I really enjoyed their eight page preview on "Halloween."

There's some cool photos and interviews with Jamie Lee Curtis, David Gordon Green and Danny McBride. Glad I picked it up. Here's a photo of the front cover.

I know it hurts, but this franchise is D E A D, it's spelled DEAD plain and simple and it died after H2O. Yet Resurrected was made and so was Rob Zombie's useless remake and it's sequel as they turned the character into a joke! i don't want him to become a joke again and i want this franchise to be dead and buried as it's now become a zombie. I also think post Child's Play 3 sequels to Child's Play just suck ass badly and Mancini just raped the franchise! Elm Street remake sucked ass as you CAN'T DO IT and CANNOT DO IT AGAIN because ENGLUND IS FREDDY PLAIN AND SPARKLING CLEAR! Leatherface has been turned into a joke with these new sequels and i'm getting tired of it for it flopped, then became quickly into blu-ray and DVD as i think the new movies of Leatherface suck. Hellraiser should just end, Scream 4, no need as the story ended with 3.

These legendary horror franchises were already dead to began with and now are now like reanimated zombies that need to be dismembered and destroyed in the head then set on fire to be put out of it's misery. I will stand by those two guys i mentioned and not pay to see Halloween in theaters and wait until i rent it at redbox. I'd rather spend my money on a quality fresh new horror film in theaters or if it's a new adaptation of a book like IT or Pet Sematary i'm ok or if a remake of an obscure little known horror film that can be good then i will see it like say The Crazies or Maniac which were both good yet i thought Elm Street, Fright Night, Poltergeist etc. were horrible. I say let these legendary horror franchises die with dignity and move on to fresh new cinematic horror franchises and try to make new horror icons.

And like i said, HATE IS GREAT and it can't be faked for it's genuine and if your like me and those 2 guys i mentioned then stop supporting trying to make legendary horror franchises live on but pull the plug to let them die in peace and let their legacies live in merchandise, comics, video games, books and physical media on blu-ray or streams of the original moves to let generations see these legendary original cinematic horror franchise for what they were.

More like you're being ridiculous. Just because you think your idea is better, dosn't make it better, so shut the **** up because you haven't see it and until you do, yours and everyones opinions is invalid in saying this movies is good or if it sucks, cause WE HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET.

DenOfEarth, you ramble on like a m*****f*****, dude. After you state your opinion, you don’t need to talk in excruciating detail about as many horror franchises as you can think of. And just because those two youtubers you are obsessed with are honest, that doesn’t mean their opinions are good. You mentioned they want to retcon H4’s ending so that Jamie didn’t actually turn evil, she just played a prank. That is the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard for a Halloween movie. It makes no sense, it’s stupid, it completely eliminates the effective shock ending, and it is out of character, as there is no way in hell Jamie would play a prank like that, especially after just having gone through a night of unspeakable terror.

So, no one here cares what those two random youtubers think because their ideas are moronic and mentioning them repeatedly doesn’t back up your opinions in the slightest. It makes you seem like an obsessed weirdo. Or maybe you’re one of those youtubers trying to promote to your channel.

Obsessed? no they are friends off mine and i stand by them even their causes sometimes on enough is enough. I just want this franchise to die and have Hollywood have new ideas for horror franchises like The Conjuring as an example which is fresh and new.

Well that's it then, you and 2 guys on YouTube have spoken. Let's pack it in boys this series is DEAD. Thank you for informing us of our misguided view of the Halloween franchise.

P.S. You might want to try and expand your film appreciation outlets beyond two 30 year old man-children recording long winded rants out of their childhood bedrooms.

Why do you dislike them? they are smarter than you are and i'm smarter than you are and to any true horror fan as i'm fed up with Hollywood raping me with these remakes and bad sequels to iconic 80s/90s horror franchises that are already dead and have become like zombies as those zombies need to be shot in the head and burned so they won't shamble around so they won't become jokes.

Why can't you accept any new horror franchises and new icons like The Conjuring for example? there's something new and fresh and Annabelle is the new Chucky.

Yes, I understand what you want. You want new franchises that don’t have crappy sequels. So you want a studio to plan a series of movies that they know are all going to be great and then stop making them to avoid having a crappy sequel that tarnishes its legacy, regardless of how much money it makes. It’s fine to want fresh, original horror movies, but when you get into franchise territory eventually a bad sequel is going to be made, and it’s unrealistic to think they’re going to stop. If you’re a purist like Carpenter who didn’t want any Halloween sequels, your opinion would make more sense, but the fact that you want new franchises doesn’t mix well with the idea of having a constant influx of awesome movies. The purpose of a franchise is to make money by capitalizing on what people are familiar with. If a director/producer also happens to have good intentions and wants to make something great, I’m all for it. And this new Halloween movie feels to me like it’ll be one of those.

The easy answer is don’t see them

Sometimes dead is better i say, Halloween was already been dead after H2O and should had stayed to rest in peace.

And the director is a bad choice for this movie.
