WalMart sucks for shipping. I almost never buy blu-rays from them, but other items have shipped literally with just a shipping label on the package. We bought a new Quesadilla maker as a gift last Christmas from them and it arrived in no box, with just the label stuck on it like you just walked out of the store, and the box was totally crushed. It would totally have ruined the surprise if the person it was intended for was here when it arrived. I bought a large Lego kit earlier this year and again it arrived with just a label on the Lego box, and left at the door, in the rain, so anybody walking by could see what it was. Great for porch pirates. Both items were sold and shipped by WalMart, not a 3rd party seller.

I've had LED light bulbs shipped in a bubble mailer from them. No lie.

I had a set of two light bulbs delivered from Amazon this week in a bubble mailer. I was shocked both were not crushed and worked.

Universal (handles the Paramount Stuff in Germany because there is no Paramount Home Entertainment any more in Germany) recently said to a News Site there will be no Special Longer Cut in Germany cause the german Audio is unavailable. Which is not correct anyway because there was a VHS Release of the TV Cut in the 90s which i have btw. Anway..not important here.

But its gets better:
The Spanish Back Cover has German Audio for the Special Longer Version. The UK Back Cover has only German Subtitles. But at least that would show that a release in SOME form will be happening in the big german set.
But Universal Germany says "No. it will not be available in our set"
And the funniest thing is: The German rating board has just rated the Special Longer Version
So at the moment its totally unclear what will be in the german box set.
Its a total mess! Nobody knows nothing basically. I guess we will find out when its out

The whole Marketing for this Star Trek Products is pretty horrible in my opinion. Total Clusterf....ck!
Its a joke that we have to get the infos about Specials from the german rating board....
The back cover of the UK also lists German subs for the Special Longer Version now, but no German audio:

And I (still) don't believe for a second that the German disc will be anything else, but the exact same branched disc. Sticking with the UK for now anyway, but might still change my mind and go for the German one.

On my last order from Bullmoose for 3 titles each was shipped separately in a thin bubble mailer. The steel book arrived with a dent in the back and the slip covered title arrived with a broken case and bent slip.

I also ordered the deluxe TMP from them and paid more because I thought they would treat it better, but now I am not confident about that at all.

Ugh, that’s not good to hear.

I just got part of my first order from Bullmoose. I pre-ordered the Gataca steel and another movie to get free shipping. As such I was expecting them to hold the one movie until the steel shipped but I just received the one movie yesterday. They shipped in a nice cardboard mailer first class.

So I was feeling pretty confident and was getting ready to order the Last Crusade steel along with another movie (since local BestBuys seem to have dropped the ball on that release) but now your comments have got me concerned about how they ship steelbooks. Maybe I should just go the *shudder* eBay route.

Like you, I pre-ordered the Complete Adventure from Bullmoose based on the recommendations of others here about their packing. I pre-ordered all 7 of the new Star Trek releases, I can’t imagine them shipping all 7 individually. I guess I may get to find out how they are handling returns.

Well, I hope the nay-sayers are right and the Complete Adventure doesn’t sell out. Otherwise the scalpers who manage to get copies in nice condition are going to have a field day.

Though I have no idea where I would be able to pick up a copy in person anyway. Physical media stores really seem to be drying up in my area.

From what I can gather, Bull Moose packages based on location. Further away get boxes, closer ones get bubble mailers. That seems to be why people have different experiences.

What sucks is, there will be no way to gauge the shipping issues. It's all a "hold on to your butts" situation. There will be perfect ones and destroyed ones from the same warehouses and locations. Some will be perfect from across the pond, while others from a local hub will be smashed. For many of us, this release is going to be a nail biter until the end. Just think if all of the retailers used boxes and bubble wrap....

Nice. I'm an AMD fan boy myself. I've been with them since the 90's. I plan on jumping on the 7950X CPU and ASUS X670E Hero motherboard when they get released. I just love AMD.

I think the movie is awesome. Do you like 2001: A Space Odyssey? If your answer is no than you will probably not enjoy this movie.

The last time I ordered from Bullmoose (which is admittedly a while ago), they shipped the disc in a bubble mailer, and there was damage to the slipbox which was fairly thin cardboard. They replaced it but it was more of a hassle than Amazon.

For the folks here that live in the USA and have received movies from Amazon UK before, what was the experience like? How many days did it take to arrive?

You'd have to be to stick with them through the Bulldozer decade

Didn't that one movie where they went to 1986 San Francisco have pop songs and current year things too?

Something smells. Something smells awful. It's funny how things rotate in and out of online forum threads.
