There is no exact consistent answer as they don't have direct sales. At random times of the year, sites like MVD, Grindhouse Video, and Diabolik will put Synapse on sale. MVD has Synapse on sale right now.

Never had any problem buying from Arrow's site in the past, but this time it was rife with issues and I gave up, emptied my cart, they can keep the damn points I've accrued, I'm done with buying from that site.

Yeah, some of those from my current SF cart are between $2.00-.49 cheaper at Amazon at the moment, but most were still higher -- even when newly marked down. I'd personally rather have that small amount on those rare few titles that are cheaper, go to Shout than Amazon, since the latter have been failing to deliver on competitive pricing these days. Most items in that cart actually increase! Over the last year, a huge chunk of titles in my Amazon cart (waiting for a reasonable price drop) I have ended up deleting after picking up cheaper from the myriad sales. Purchases which are also packaged better, I might add. Most of my movie money over the past year has gone to boutique labels and retailers; I rarely bother with Amazon anymore.

I think Shout does this every year following their Shocktober. No idea if it's pre-planned or if they're trying to move surplus they overestimated for from Shocktober. Though, it's entirely possible they went thru BB in years past and amazon only matched them. I was wondering if the REC set would drop into the upper 20s like it did after Shocktober last year, but it looks like amazon's deal is a couple bucks more than Shout's direct sale this year, which makes sense, being they've got to allocate for amazon's cut. Glad I didn't wait to see if it would go that low again this year.

That is an INSANE price for a stacked 3 movie set. If anyone has any interest in those films, now is the time to get them!
