I lost my best friend nearly 2 years ago in mid-January.

I go to Value Village every couple of days (it's a very short walk). There's a very nice "greeter" at the door and we have a little conversation whenever I show up.

Yesterday, I went there with my girlfriend...who is unusually good looking

When I went back to the store today, the greeter asked if that girl was my DAUGHTER

!

It's a good thing I'm not vain or I'd be insulted

.

When I said she was my girlfriend, the greeter said, "Well, good for you".

It was funny but then I started feeling like she thinks I'm a dirty old man who managed to pick up some young thing. Truth is, my girlfriend and I were neighbours as kids back in the 1960s and we dated before in the mid 1980s so we have decades of history together. But I got old and she stayed hot.

I haven't told her this story yet but she'll LOVE it!

My crew came in today and I switched back in the late afternoon.
I’ll miss those Mine Ops Operators, it was a good run.

I felt bad vibes from the Teammate that I’ve had a few dust-ups with.
It seems we’re past the point of ever getting along, which is fine.

I’m happy to be drilling again.

The first time I ever saw Dumb and Dumber was when I was a kid. It was on VHS. I watched it at my friend's house. When Harry got shot, I was shocked and had not had a while lot of movie watching experience at that time. Killing a protagonist, especially in a comedy was so foreign to me. I felt really sad. Had a few years well up.
I had seen the movie on and off about a dozen times throughout the years since.
I watched it again two nights ago and that same scene got me again. Only differently this time. It was when Harry got shot, it was when Lloyd yelled at Andre.
"YOU JUST KILLED MY BEST FRIEND!"
It hit me differently because of losing my best friend in real life.

Our drill mechanic, who just got in Tuesday, tested positive.
Yesterday I gave him a hand working on my drill, but we were outside so I have no concern.
There’s several people in quarantine and I feel bad for them. I’ve been in there and it blows big time.
Hopefully their follow up tests are good, they’re good, and they can get outta there.

apparently right after Netflix raised streaming back on 27th and fact that my brother will never pay dvd in mail his family actually leaching the streaming on my account

premium 17.99 4 screens that 4k and hdr so on that due Netflix price hike pay 19.70

the 3 at a time dvd/bluray is 19.99 with tax 21.94

total all now paying 41.64 instead of 39.45

I like old movies and tv shows but I don't know anymore due to prices

still paying amc a list apple tv plus hulu Disney plus wwe network

its getting harder to put stuff in Netflix queue like I just deleted some stuff that now on hulu and prime this month

only thing I got in their is a movie that coming Netflix streaming 17th

what you guys think I should do give up dvd plan that I had since 2005

A couple of nights ago I replaced two shower heads in our dorm.
Yesterday I asked the Lead Hand, “How was your shower?”
He says, “I KNEW it was you who did that!”
I laughed.

It’s funny that people who know me, know the things I do.
Those shower heads are pathetic and I’ll be changing more next time back here.

People are so hopelessly vain and self-important that they're needlessly placing themselves in jeopardy every time they encounter others on the opposite end of the spectrum, like myself. Two people were standing directly in front of the train doors as it pulled into the station this morning, effectively blocking the exit for passengers. I had to get off and they wouldn't budge so I bulldozed past them. One of them turns around and calls me stupid. I ignored her so she kept repeating herself, I guess hoping I would acknowledge her (I never did). She was lucky I was in a good mood (rare for mornings) because I was willing to miss my connecting train to go off on her. It's been a while since I've had a good public shouting match
