Yeah I'm really starting to think that to. There is no reason why they wouldn't have announced the release date of R Part 1 at the panel unless it's a ways away.

ANN is temporarily down with a 503; did the article say it was cover art, or was it just a promo pic to accompany the cast announcement?

This, it's basically just concept/promo artwork.

It's not even the right shape to be actual cover art. It may be included on the cover art, but it is not the cover art. And the copyright notice would stand out too much on a cover to be left as it is.

Seeing as how Viz just announced some of the English voice cast, I doubt they are going to cancel the releases.

I'm more concerned as to why they didn't announce any of the voice cast for the Black Moon Family yet though.

Why would that be stupid? If it's costing them more money than earning them, they'll scrap the blu-ray. They can just put the rest of the episodes up on Hulu.

For the amount of money that it cost them, to acquire the license in the first place along with the money that they are paying to do their "restoration" along with the fact that they know the sets will sell they would never outright cancel the releases. Th money that they make on DVD and Blu sales is the only major money that they will see come back to them for this series. I don't know how much they get for people watching the show on Hulu but I can't see it being enough to cover any costs that they incurred in licensing the series alone.

Even if they aren't selling really well they are still making a profit off of them that is arguably more then they are gaining off of the Hulu streams.

Sailor Moon is selling better than Ranma ½, that's all I know for sure. How much better, I don't know.

The way I know Sailor Moon is selling better is due to the fact that the GWP for sets 1 and 2 are sold out, but the GWP for set 1 of Ranma is stil available.

The Sailor Moon vol.1 DVDs have sold well at the Walmart I work at.

I might be the only one, but I do hope they have more time in between releases.
These sets are expensive and they don't really excite me anymore because I'm not a fan of the dub and the features are really lacklustre.

They didn't even bother to get a clean opening/ending of the second arc of the first season.
