But why wouldn't the University come out and say that I get that it might have been false but come out pushing that, don't decline to comment that just makes me suspicious

That wasn't a pretty win but a win is a win. The most important thing is that Jacory Harris played very well, our receivers need to quit dropping the ball though. Our defense played well and forced a lot of turnovers, but Whipple really needs to stop going to for the home run every first down. We have a stable of capable running backs, we need to use some damn balance.

I missed the game, but thanks for the recap bud. Bottom line is that we just needed a win. Any kind of win. Go Canes!!!!!!

BTW, tonight I'm a Badger fan. I hope they crush Ohio State. Nice start so far.

lol even if they win this, if they have this much trouble with Wisconsin's running game imagine if they had to play Alabama.

ahhahahaha the balls on Wisconsin's coach to call a pass with 6 minutes left on 1st down

LMAO a gift wrapped national championship for OSU by the pollsters and they blow it again

Oh happy day (watch them only fall to 5 or something, when bama fell to like 8 or whatever.)

Interesting day. Oregon will now be number one, and there won't be many teams with a chance to jump Boise or TCU if they win out.

This entirely depends on how many people are so opposed to Boise/TCU that they start intentionally dropping them in the polls with the express purpose of keeping them out.

Wonder if both Oklahoma and Auburn will be jobbed this year? Can't say I'm sad about tOSU losing today.

I'll bet if Auburn runs the table they'll still leapfrog schools lik Boise and TCU given their vastly more difficult schedule.

I missed most of today's games. Just got back from the Magic-Bulls preseason game. VERY glad to see that badly overrated Ohio St. team lose. Sounds like Auburn does have a shot at running the table in SEC play.

I want no Big 10 team to go undefeated. All the Big 10 ever does is give us crappy BCS title games. Hopefully we at least get something like Auburn vs. Oregon for the championship. Unlikely though for Auburn since they still have to beat LSU at home, Alabama on the road and then an SEC title game to go undefeated. Sadly the way things are shaking out Boise might make the title game...

Funny thing was I was at the Orlando Magic game tonight and most of the non basketball talk going on had to do with how bad the Gators are this year. Tons of UF fans in the area and they sounded almost suicidal after realizing the Gators choked away their third straight game, this time to a so-so Mississippi St. team in the Swamp. Funny how quick things change. At this time last year Gator/Tebow fans were the cockiest bunch you'd ever meet. These days not so much.

lol after seeing OSU play that game I really think Boise would have kicked the S*** out of them, all they have is a running QB with a noodle arm

It's possible. I'll bet on a neutral field game Ohio St. would probably only be a very slight favorite at best over Boise. In looking at the remaining schedules I'm really not seeing many, if any big conference schools running the table. The only BCS Conference school I see as having a legit chance of going undefeated is Oregon. The non-BCS conference games with the biggest implications are clearly Nevada vs. Boise St. and TCU vs. Utah.

Here are the remaining undefeated teams and how I'd classify their chances of running the table with their toughest remaining games.

Likely to Near Certain
Boise St. (6-0) - Only tough game left @Nevada

Very good (40%+ Chance)
TCU (7-0) - vs. Air Force, @Utah

Reasonable (20-40% Chance)
Oregon (6-0) - Games left @USC, vs. Arizona, @Oregon St., vs. Washington
Utah (6-0) - @Air Force, vs. TCU, @ Notre Dame

Slim (10-20% Chance)
Oklahoma (6-0) - @Missouri, @Oklahoma St., Big 12 Title game
Michigan St. (7-0) - @Iowa, vs. Minnesota, @Penn St.
Nevada (6-0) - vs. Boise St.

Borderline "no chance in hell"
Auburn (7-0) - vs. LSU, @Ole Miss, @Alabama, vs. Georgia, SEC Title Game
Oklahoma St. (6-0) - vs. Nebraska, @Texas, vs. Oklahoma, Big 12 Title Game
Missouri (6-0) - vs. Oklahoma, @Nebraska, Big 12 Title Game
