What are the best Horror movies you've seen that were released since 2018? Like, what do you guys think are must-see, or hidden gems etc. Give me your recommendations people!
I'm curious on this too now! Off the top of my head, the only one I've both seen and liked so far was Hereditary.

EDIT: Actually, I enjoyed Insidious 4 as well.

Ghost Stories. I thoroughly enjoyed it. One of those films you need to watch again soon after finishing.

The Devil’s Candy. Possession story but from s slightly different angle. Great dynamics between father and daughter.

Both make good Halloween movie choices imo.

I have plenty on my list from before then, but there are some that were released since 2018 that I haven't seen yet, or weren't released in time for me to watch in October last year (I MOSTLY prefer to save my Horror viewing for October each year, which is hard but it's more rewarding) and wanted to know what people enjoyed most so I can prioritise the better ones. Cheers.

We watched Pyewacket last night. Pretty interesting little film. We enjoyed Backcountry better (from the same director) but this one is definitely worth a watch. It’s on Hulu right now BTW.

I put up a tiny amount of Halloween decorations yesterday and started the month off with a nice bang.

9/1

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers - I mentioned it in the Halloween series thread a while back, but I moved to Salt Lake City earlier this year. 4, 5, and 6 were filmed here. After watching this yesterday, i decided to drive to "Vincent Drug" this morning (the location they drive to to get Jamie's clown costume, apparently the inside shots were done elsewhere). It's unfortunately gone out of business and no longer has the iconic sign from the movie up, though there were still plenty of Vincent signs in the windows. It's an old main street that's become a complete ghost town now, which is actually kinda nice since you can walk up and down the street and check out a location where you have a nice tracking shot down the street in the movie.

The Witches - First watch, enjoyed it quite a bit for being a "kids movie". Really nice cinematography and location work, not surprising since it's the same director as Don't Look Now!

Some I don't feel like enough people have seen:

Suspiria
The Witch In the Window
Overlord
Terrified (came out in 2017, but wasn't easily watchable until 2018)
Annihilation (more scifi than horror, but it's got some great moments for horror fans)

I've seen Overlord and Annihilation but I will add The Witch in the Window and Terrified to my list. Suspiria came out in November (nothing bothers me more than a Horror film releasing in November) so I decided to hold off until this year and do a double feature with the original

Thanks for the recommendations.

3.5/5? Hmm, I'm intrigued. I haven't seen it but thought the trailer looked decent. How 'adult' is is it? Do they go over-the-top with the violence/adult content or is it tame?

It was better than I thought it would be. It does get pretty violent and bloody. There's a body count. Other than that it's not very crude or anything.
