Were you missing any of the year one heavy exotics? If you have them all already there's nothing it can give you other than a duplicate.

The only year one exotic that I'm missing is 4th Horseman so when he sells the special engram I'll buy one just to see if it indeed weights the items you're missing over the ones you have.

With the infusion system, which I just found out about five minutes ago, I could see people amassing a bunch of exotic engrams via an exploit and holding them for later to turn in so they'll open as higher light/attack/defense or whatever the new terminology is.

got an artifact for my warlock last night.....so that finally unlocked!!

also found that quest in the abandoned quests kiosk......even though I didn't abandon it. oh well.

working on catching my hunter and titan up to my warlock today......I've got the day off.

just finished the last mission on the original story w/my hunter.

If they're like other engrams then they are decided when they drop. So if an exotic dropped for you at 270 Light but you waited till you were 290 Light to try and get a higher gear rating, I don't think that would work. AFAIK items are determined upon drop, not decryption.

There's a pool of items that you have a chance to draw from at a given time.

I have been reading posts where folks have gotten countless exotics in only a few hours. Congrats I guess?

I am gonna run it a few times later tonight to see if I get anything. Hopefully I can acquire a piece or two of gear and maybe a gun. IMO it makes future gameplay a little easier because you have a little better gear/weapon starting out.

I am missing the 4th Horseman as well. I think there are two more floating around I haven't acquired.

they were before, they are not now. I experienced this first hand yesterday, when I finally broke through the 250 barrier my engrams immediately began decrypting into better things, even though I'd collected all of them when I was level 249

Anyone else had any problems with the Shindig in the Crucible mission? I'm getting kills with The Last Word but it isn't increasing, is it because I have a year one last word?

Year 1 doesn't matter. The highest I got up to last night was around 10% and I was only using my fusion rifle with The Last Word in the primary slot.


Maybe your like me and ended up loosing all the points you acquired on an awesome run at the 1st of the round during the 2nd half of the round.

I am pretty bothered by the fact that Motes of Light are irrelevant for purchasing engrams.

I bought the new Warlock gloves (280) and dismantled them as I think the Exotic Blueprints kiosk has better perks.

I bought four engrams and received:

1. Light Beyond Nemesis (290 with Int./Str. and health orb regeneration). I infused it into my 280 Kiosk version (as I prefer the perks).

2. Obsidian Mind (290 with Int./Disc.). I dismantled it after infusing into my 280 Light Beyond Nemesis.

3. The Stag (290 with Disc./Str. and health regeneration). I dismantled it because I did not really care for its perks and I can always reacquire it from the kiosk.

4. Helm of Saint-14 (290 with Int./Disc.). I switched it to my Titan, purchased the 280 version (as I prefer it), and will infuse it upon reaching Level 40.

If I can somehow acquire another 19 strange coins before Sunday, I will be able to purchase the Young Ahamkara's Spine and Insurmountable Skullfort.

It doesn't make any sense to me as sometime I would have kills with the sniper and machine gun (5 kill spree) and the percentage wouldn't move at all and other times I would use golden gun and same thing nothing.

But when I first started this bounty I killed 4 with golden gun and then 1 with last word and I went from 0 to like 20% in a match. I got up to 37% and now I'm at 29%.

The important thing, from what I'm reading, is to equip at the right time (before heavy and when you have your super) so you don't waste your percentage.

It sucks that the TLW is horrible now, because this could have been a fun quest to do pre 2.0

You have to go positive k/d so it could be impossible for some

You can cheat it by using another gun and then equipping last word when the super is rdy or u have heavy ammo and then switch out last word after u finish getting the easy kills

I'm sitting on over 200 motes of light, what the heck am I supposed to do with these? I'm holding out hope that xur offers a way to convert them to strange coins sometime in the future.

For those who have infused something. Isn't it possible for those of us with huge amounts of coins to quickly inflate our levels? The way I understand it is you only have to infuse the same type of armor and it could be from a completely different class.

For instance, couldn't I buy the Titan helmet and infuse it on my Warlock helmet which is like 200 armor and jump way up? And then by the gauntlets and infuse them on my gauntlets, which again, are like 200 armor, and jump way up again?

Yup. That's the beauty of being a "veteran" of the game

You can either quickly spend all the resources you have gathered throughout the year and quickly get to the highest rank or take your time and spend it on gear you truly want leveled up.

I did lots of grinding on my Hunter but then I kept some mid - high weapons and ghost and put it on my warlock and I'm quickly ranking him up as well.
