Err... okay...

Anyway. The graphic is only intended as a quick visual check on stock levels and should give people an immediate idea at a glance. It is obviously failing at that.

I don't think he was implying that, Mister.

Then again you are from Bristol, so you do talk funny.

Just been sent the PR stuff for the book, including a PDF of the finished thing. According to the intro it contains 20 old essays from existing releases and 10 new ones written exclusively for the book. its 246 pages long. I've just read the brief intro from Ben Wheatley, which is 2 pages long and charts his own intro to cult cinema.

Indeed - it was fun ridiculing their poor graphics

If they'd had one colour only it might have been clearer...

It was more the fact that you said the following when it was totally unnecessary to say:

"The fact that there was no bar under the OOP titles didn't give you a hint?"

And then followed up with this, which sounded condescending:

"I don't get it. They made sense to me immediately so I'm finding it hard to see how they could be interpreted any other way."

Apologies if I misinterpreted, but it came across a bit bad to me.

Does it include any draft/alternate versions of the commissioned cover designs?

Great stuff - I was worried HMV wouldn't dispatch my order before I move addresses next week but they just got stock of almost every Arrow title on their website. So Milano Calibro 9 and Tenebrae have just been dispatched, and it looks like Buckaroo Banzai is about to be dispatched too!

Might go in for a double-dip next month, though there aren't that many left I'm desperate for. Phenomena and Inferno both come without booklets now, right?

No, I work in Bath. I live in the Bedminster area of Bristol. I couldn't pull off posh, it ain't in my genes.

No worries mate, was just having a laugh with you. I used to live in Bedminster for about 8 years. Moved back to London 5 years ago, though. I don't know what used to bug me more - "cheers, drive!" as people got off the bus, or "what bis on about?"

EDIT: Just saw you live in Bedminster too! Small world. I was on St. John's Lane, opposite the bigg-ish pub near the roundabout.

Anyhow, back on topic:

What are people's top 3 films on their Arrow wishlist? (I mean films they'd like Arrow to produce and release?)

I'll go for:

Hunter's Blood
Unman, Wittering & Zigo
Death Weekend

Was East Street totally insane when you were there, too? Those people are mental.

Yep. I see it hasn't changed, then. I did like the Balloon Fiestas and the Harbour Festivals, though. (And I miss Fopp on College Green now I'm back in London... )

Fopp is great, yeah... went in there last Sunday and got The Hound of the Baskervilles and Zardoz from the Arrow sale (yay, topical). I would have got more, but my girlfriend was with me and she thinks I buy too many films.

I've just had a quick flick through Death Walks Twice box set, and both films have really strong transfers. There isn't any controversial grading present like the Black Cats set, and the encoding is excellent with very high bit rates on both movies.

Also, both films feature the rather delectable Nieves Navarro aka Susan Scott, which is worth the price of admission alone.

Yeah I was a little worried, hence why I contacted Arrow and HMV on Twitter to find out where the stock was at! I'm moving house next week so didn't want anything arriving after I'd moved out (I'm gonna try and change all my delivery addresses this weekend).

As I was typing this, just got an email to say Buckaroo Banzai has been dispatched - all three should turn up tomorrow then. Not bad going for my first HMV order since the new site launched - you just have to bear in mind that popular items might be OOS for a short while! But yeah, the first item in my order actually arrived less than 24 hours after I ordered, and The Honeymoon Killers arrived earlier this week (Tuesday). Great packaging and free 1st Class postage...glad to see they're actually better than they were before! I'll be using them again, and soon probably!
