If you are in the US and are ordering from JBHifi there is no benefit to ordering in a group. They charge a flat rate per item, you can't consolidate items and save on shipping from them. Unless something has changed recently, they ship everything individually and charge for shipping accordingly.

The original non-anamorphic DVD release from around 1998 is the US theatrical cut, with the original mono audio. It hasn't been released on Blu-ray, as far as anyone knows. The US Blu-ray is the regular international theatrical cut, with a well-engineered but incomplete 5.1 remix and one incorrectly transferred scene.

From what was said here they are the same version of CTB.

I just watched my Australian BD release of CtB.

I can confirm it plays on region A players and is the extended international version with no censorship cuts. Run time 2:10:31

When played on a region B player it plays the censored UK version. Run time 2:10:10

There's no Region 0 for Blu-ray like DVD. Region Free Blu-ray players allow you to toggle between A/B/C.

I have enjoyed the US version on blu ray but I just ordered the Italian version to have a "fixed" version & additional scene. Thanks for all the info in this thread guys.
Barbarian is a great film that's stands way above the rest for me. I watched it as a kid, along with Destroyer & Red Sonja but I recently rediscovered just how awesome Barbarian truly is viewing it again in my late thirties. I have a deeper appreciation now for this film along with the unforgettable score.

I take it that this double pack contains that disc for Barbarian right? Also do know if the disc will play uncut if I set my multi-region player to region a or will it only play it uncut if one has a region a locked player?

I am fairly sure it contains the same disk, but I can't guarantee it...

It will play uncut on a multi region player that is set to region A.

Hmm doesn't look like it is flate rate shipping as each item has it's own shipping cost so the double pack may be the way to go.
