The stigma around guys being losers for living at home needs to stop; I'm sick of it. Just because I live here doesn't mean I'm not independent. I pay my own bills, buy my own things, pitch in with food and stuff. I've helped my parents buy appliances, I've bought groceries, household items, and done minor repair work to help my dad, and they don't want rent. I don't just sit on my ass in a basement, I act like an adult.

As for dating a woman who still lives with her parents, of course. Everyone's got a story, and it's wrong to dismiss someone for simply living with their parents. If she likes me, and I like her, that's all that matters.
Can understand that and I agree about dating a woman that lives at home with her parents. I actually have before when I was younger and we were both early 20's. And you're right Jack, everyone has their own unique story.

Good post. I lived with my parents for most of my life and only recently moved out (2018) on my own.

The reason I stayed at home was to save money to purchase a house. My parents didn't care I lived there and were happy to have me around. I was happy not to have to spend a penny in rent, ever. My parents didn't ask me for any money and insisted I save save save. Whenever I spent money on them they would say no! Save save save!

I am forever grateful they let me stay home.

I do remember back in 2008, right around the time of the mortgage crisis, I was laid off and I decided to be a bum and just collect unemployment for a year. My mom would say

"Any luck finding a job?"
Not today.
"Are you actively looking?"
No.
"Are you collecting unemployment?"
Yes.
"Good. Just relax. What do you want for dinner?"

What a great year that was.

Great post as well. My parents also do the "No, you shouldn't have" when I get them something or buy dinner. My dad is always like "Don't spend your money on us, save that." Yeah, they still make dinner for me and stuff, but not all the time. I make my own things or go out to eat. In a way, it's just been the four of us (my brother included) together for so long it almost feels weird to break that.

But being that I'm in California, and it's ridiculously expensive to live here now, and only getting worse, it's very difficult to buy or even rent. My parents got lucky with this house about 20yrs ago.

I'm forever grateful for the support they've given me over the years, despite the typical parent/child differences at times.

I have an infected place on my hip and am taking antibiotics. I've always wonder how the pills go to the infectious area and not muck around in others. Like how does it know what to treat.

Each pill has a gps unit embedded in it. If you hold the pill close enough to your ear, you can hear the familiar female voice giving directions...

Or, the brain/body connection knows where to direct the proper nutrients/materials to tissues and organs in need of repair/replenishment.

I was going through my divorce during that time and had to get my 1,900 square foot townhouse re-appraised to get my ex-wife off the mortgage...we bought it for $155K and it appraised for $100K. When I heard that number, I got physically sick to my stomach and almost puked in my driveway, good times.

Mylene Farmer stages a concert in June 2019, has it presented in theaters in several countries on November 7th and releases it on Ultra HD with HDR and Dolby Atmos and Blu-ray in December of that same year.

Madonna records her Madame X tour from 2018 to early 2019 and only releases it on Paramount Plus in October of 2021. A service no one outside America even has access to. With no information about a home video release. After the lockdowns already ended. After extensive edits and even after redoing one of the songs without an audience, from my understanding.

These women are almost the same age, but one is far more productive lately.

I hope I have the stuff I think I have left in the storage unit. Wish it wasn't 2 states away and I'd had all my stuff by now. I'm lucky so far with the computers I do have not sure about the computers left in the storage unit. 4 more weekends to go get the last of the non furniture items. can't wait.

Imagine only ever knowing water and then these strange creatures lift you up into a whole new waterless realm...

Then you're released back into the water, where you stay until you know no more. Do you eventually forget that other realm, or does it come to you in dreams?

Me, As a human? I'm looking at that photo and thinking that to have that giant catfish brush up against me in a lake somewhere might be the end of my heart.

They brushed by it in the article, but they caught the shark at midnight. Imagine dealing with that in the dark?!
