Default Star Wars: I'm Think I'm Getting Old

After watching the Star Wars films recently, I think I've either got chronic ADD, or chronically don't have ADD, or am just getting old.

I'm finding more and more lately that stuff like big fights and battles used to wow me but now I'm like watching the final showdown battle between Obi Wan and Annakin and it just went on and on and I started checking my email, and browsing the internet on my phone, and I look up and gee they are still swinging about wildly, just in a slightly different spot. I'm feeling "Just get it over with. Can we get back to the story?". Of course then when the story was the cringing emotional scenes (anything in Revenge with Padme in it - "no I love you more", "no I love you more") I was like playing with my phone again.

BD Live? ADD much. I have turned of blu ray internet connectivity. I couldn't give a damn about enhanced features and slower down time.

You are sounding like me.

I no longer watch all the enhanced features, BD Live, etc. I do enjoy a good battle scene with explosions once-in-awhile only because it works the SVS and HSN mid-bass in the room.

What I now enjoy playing over and over is Mamma Mia, Phantom of the Opera, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli's Live in Tuscany, SACD's, and good Blu musicals, etc.

I am either getting older or much more critical on what I am watching. Maybe, I am getting more mature and love the finer things in life?????

I wouldn't quite say I like the finer things like that. I watched Kick-Ass the other day and loved it just as much as the first time, and didn't check my mail once. Maybe it is just requiring better actual story telling than just noise and motion. I wonder how I'll feel about Bad Boys 2 when it finally shows up on Blu Ray.

Why didn't you just skip to the original trilogy? You know. The GOOD Star Wars movies! Although, with the blu-ray edits, that description might need to be "rephrased".

Tried to play today - turns out 20th Century Fox has determined that TotalMedia Theatre needs an (not yet available) update so no playback

Attention film distributors... this is why people pirate!

I've been getting similar feelings about sci-fi and fantasy movies too.I liked Thor first viewing then watched it few more times and i remember the bit where he's just been changed back and killed the destroyer and says we must get back to the bifrost site and the warriors 3 are stood there in there silly costumes and nod to him and i suddendly thought omg this is ridiculous lol .Anyone fancy a steelbook? then again i love the Flash Gordon movie so i guess it's just whether you find it convincing.

Well, I received my package from the dodgy ebay seller this morning. Unsurprisingly, it isn't a legit copy of the Star Wars blu-ray boxset. What was more surprising is that it isn't even a counterfeit copy of the Star Wars blu-ray boxset, it is in fact an eyemask!
Perhaps it's a silghtly unsubtle dig at the quality of George Lucas' later works!

Irritatingly, I still haven't had my sodding refund from Paypal and now that I've had to change the reason for my claim (from "item not received" to "item not as described") I'm sure the whole thing will go back to square one.

Won't ebay force you to send the eyemask back, who pays for postage (to china!)?

Could end up losing money after all. Remember guys, if it's too good to be true...

Well, he's very helpfully written a $3 value on the envelope so if the worst comes to the worst they can deduct that from my refund.
Hopefully, once the case is looked at by an actual person rather than the endless stream of automated updates, they'll see it's a scam and just refund the full amount.
