Just watched the IGN live-stream reviewer play a Capture match in Crucible. He's almost as bad as me...even though he's more experienced.

But he certainly swears a lot less than me while in Crucible. The cool thing about watching these the last few days is he's learning much like we are about the game.

Dumb question--how similar is this to Warframe? Aren't they both solid FPS with tons of loot/grinding?

Not always headshots some enemies have precision kills that are in the abdomen.

A lot of these guys you see getting a lot of kills are camping near the flags in Control games, sneaking up on you. I almost never see the guy attacking me. Try looking up sometimes and see them hanging out above on something. I'm not using this as an excuse for sucking, because I suck, too, but it's one reason it feels unbalanced. The early days of the beta were not like that. Some of these guys probably learned where to stalk then and just keep doing it. Even as level 7, I can come up on guy face to face, on equal terms, who is level 20 and despite usually losing, deplete most of his health or watch him die as I die. As someone else said, you can also camp near heavy ammo drops.

And I think the active bounties are in inventory.

Well, if our brother clan gets enough members and Saracens does, I think we have the ability to make an alliance, but atm, we have quite a lot of non-forum members that have joined me that I know from elsewhere too

So I was due some time and decided to take yesterday and today off. I know people are complaining about the shortness of the story but it seems ok to me. I just finished the first mars mission and am 17 and I have 8 hours logged in story and 4 I patrol.

So far I have only really patrolled earth (and Venus once) and it hasn't felt too much like grinding as I have been wandering around and exploring. To me the initial patrol time and first play through of the strikes is "story" also.

I do worry about long term play. Warframe isn't an entirely fair comparison but I'm not sure repeating strikes and raids and patrols is really be as compelling a draw as warframe is.

I did the mars strike mission at 18 then went and started the quests. Just couldn't do it, day two and I'm already getting bored. I'm going to go back and force myself to push through to 20 tonight and see what's after Mars but it's already feeling old. I'm noticing they recycled a lot of the enemies as well. New skins, same old same old.

Warframe is not a fps to begin and is more about fast frenetic action. They do have similarities though.

I took a look at the Crucible today. At what point does Rumble and Skirmish, etc. become available? I only see Control matches right now.

I figured out that my crucible problem with not being able to see who kills me is lag. Lag, lag, lag. I'm going to call Lake Connections tomorrow for an update.

By the way, how do you shoot from the hoverbike? I never figured that out in the beta, and I still don't know.

I don't think you can unless you steal a Pike from the Aliens like on the Moon missions. Though I hear there are Pikes on Earth too.

I preordered this on PSN. Werent we supposed to get exclusive weapons and get the PS3 version as well? Or is the gear in the shops and needed to be bought?

If you found the Vanguard Quartermaster in the Tower, then you went to the right spot. Wait until you're level 10, and then you can buy some guns and one piece of armor that will be much better than what you already have. You can buy it when you're a level 5 but you won't receive as good of weapons as if you were to wait until level 10. But I don't know about "outfits".

So the assault rifle with the cool bayonet attached is forever lost to me?
