Oh yea, I love my Regza.
I don't think TOSHIBA has firmware updates.... they are still bitter they lost the war... they put out a BDP because they had to in order to stay in the player market... DVD players and converters will be gone soon, they know this too.

I find it actually sounds just a tad bit cleaner coming from the tv outs for some reason so that's how I use it.
could be I was just thinking it may eliminate the sync issues

Yea, the sync is weird because it doesn't happen every time, and it usually occurs around the middle of the movie, then by the end would be back in sync again. Very strange.

I watched Saving Private Ryan and Rambo yesterday and I didn't notice any sync issues, but I did have the screen freeze a couple of times during SPR.

If you manage to et te c-300 for 400$ you'll have a really amazing 7.1 setup.

BTW Callas told me he would sell his for 200$ since he's going Totem soon.

Well by now having the time to to try my new setup and byn having my HT room in my bsaement done (see gallery) I can honestly say that I am more than please with my whole setup.

A friend of mine came to see my setup and he told me that for the price the sound quality is more than he expected. He has a bigger setup than I with Paradigm speakers and the new a Panny projector the newest one. He was surprised and that is all good cause he is very picky on that.

Hey Rebel, always admired that set up you got there. How do you like that sub of yours, it works ok? I see your space is quite large, at least it looks that way in the pics. The room I have my set up in is very small, about 9.5 x 10.5 ft. so it doesn't take much to fill my little room with sound.I currently have a Yamaha sub that does the job, but may just add another later on.

Callas has recommended some nice subs, but if Energy offers some decent subs I my just stick with the same brand of speaker all around.

Energy gets less fanfare in the US then Paradigm... why I don't know, I guess because they aren't as "loud sounding" they are less popular. However, Energy speakers, the C-series performs equal to the Paradigm Monitors.

you have a very good setup.

Thanks Miker my room is 14x15 and yes the Sub does more than it needs to. IMO I think that some people are a bit too picky about things but that's just me. I can compare cause my best friend like mentioned aboved ste worths around 25 000$ in total, includes Projector AV screen and Speakers but honestly I think that my set plays better and I'm not sayin g this because it's my set. Probably my set wouldn't be able to cover his room which is 12x 25 feet.

Anyways I love my sub and playe very well, if I were you ai wouldn't go to big because of your room size

Energys subs are overpriced for what you get compared to internet direct mfgs. I would personally not buy their subs, because HSU, SVS, Outlaw and eD offer better for equal or less money. If you could get the S10.3 for less then $300, it would be a good deal, otherwise, buy an eD or Hsu.

I got my S10.3 Sub for 200$ and for that I must say that my 7.1 speakers setup cost me 1500$ total which for me it's good because the regular price was 3000$ plus tax. Same goes with my AV which I got for 500$ last year instead of 1000$

Ahhh, I got you Callas. Thanks for that info. I haven't really shopped around much for subs, but did notice how expensive the Energy's are. We'll see what things look like down the road. Who knows, Energy may have a deal by the time I'm ready to upgrade.

Rebel... I have heard the sub you have, I thought it was one of the better subs I had heard ever, until I heard the Hsu and eD subs.... then I was like, OK, this is what everyone on bd.com is talking about.

I would say $200 for that sub, is awesome. I would buy it for as much as $300, but I am not paying $529.... I will buy an eD, Hsu, or Outlaw for the same price and get 5 times more of a sub.

I paid about $1400 for my setup also, and just the 6.0 setup is $1300 retail. Add in the subs and receiver....$2500... and when people come over they are astounded at my system.

Yea, if you wait around a bit you can get some good deals. Right after I bought my RC-10's they went down to 329 at Vanns.

Same here people are just like Wow playes very good. My father always goes to the theater as he live near one and live in a condo. And when he listened to my ht he was like wow this is better than the theater.

Honestly I think that Energy are surprisingly good speakers

for sure... I am looking at getting into Totem or Dynaudio down the road, and when I came home from auditioning I put in music at my house (the same music) and felt like I was about 75-80% of what I was listening to at the dealer... That is good considering we are talking about a $600 pr vs $1850 pr of speakers.

Energy speakers are VERY good speakers. I would never personally own paradigms or B&Ws, and my dad has B&Ws.

speaking of Theaters, my wife and I never go to the theater anymore because being at home is a MUCH better experience.

Well, I'm thoroughly enjoying my RC-10's. I watched Apollo 13 on blu last night and really enjoyed the presence of sound effects through them. I left my sub off purposely and I have to say I'm always impressed how low they can get for bookshelves. I'm sure there are others out there that can out perform them, but I'm very pleased.

Similar to how I was was. Once I got into the RC line (RC-10's and RC-30's) my old sub (Energy ES12) actually made the sound worse IMO as it just didn't perform at the same level (not tight enough). I had to upgrade! I suspect that could the case in your setup.
