Leon: The Professional was on when I left the house today. I've never actually seen the whole film so I might have to pick up the Blu Ray.

Earlier this week, I see these two good looking women. As I thought, they were mom and daughter. I'm early 40s and I'd say the daughter was 30s with two young kids and mom was probably in her 50s and I couldn't tell which one I wanted. Grandma was with them too which was nice. I spoke to the mom briefly but didn't try and get a number. If I see her again though, I will.

Going for a run tomorrow, plan is 75 minutes and then back. Will have my sister's kids visiting when I get back so I'll shower and put on DBZ for them while she's running.

If Jay Leno, retired and still extremely wealthy, so able to live anywhere, loves driving fast cars so much, why does he live in a country with speed limits as restrictive as the USA?

You think he would change his entire life, uproot his family, just so he could drive over the speed limit?

Look, you can like fast cars, but that doesn't mean that you are just addicted to fast speeds. It's more about the power and handling. Outside of a race track, anything over 80 mph in a street car is rarely enjoyable, unless one is completely unaware of their own mortality. The higher in speed you go, the whiter your knuckles will get. I've gone a little over 120 mph for a couple of miles one time, and I have no desire to ever do that again.

I'm sure Leno scratches whatever speed itch he does have with trips to a local track, or on international vacations.

I binged all three seasons of Mayans M.C. on Hulu in three days to catch up. I saw the first season when it aired but missed the others. I'm really enjoying the show, and I'm excited for season four next year. It's not nearly as great (so far) as Sons of Anarchy was, but I've really enjoyed the characters and all the crazy shenanigans.

My girlfriend just told me she quit her job last week and her supervisor simply removed her from the rosters which explains why she didn't go this morning. I don't know her plans but with $10,000 left in student loan debt I really hope she bounces back into something quick.

Apparently when I called the police on my former brother-in-law a few weeks ago, they called his supervisor. So if nothing else (he does seem to be banned from coming to this house ever again, at least) he probably got into big trouble at work. Good, the man's a jerk and too long he's gotten away with psychologically abusing people without consequences. Years ago he was stunned his boss called him a dick, I was 0% surprised.

So, I bought this headset in the hope of distancing my phone from my head, for comfort and for bet-hedging on any actual future revelation about long-term cell phone use.

The headset was pretty awful. Lot's of feedback and poor sound quality. I returned it to Buzz Bezos.

Any suggestions on a quality headset of a similar build?

Windows computer won't display and I giving up on that machine since I can't play all my games on it so now I'll have to build one. I hope I do a better job and works longer than my HTPC I did a few years back. I just hope my G4 quicksilver is ok. I can finally get that in about 3 weeks. I both hate and love this hobby

let me preface this by saying I rarely have nightmares that originate from movies - in a very very long time - but I had one that really scared me. From what I recall, I remember going down a hallway in a house, there was a section of the wall the had a square outline about eye-level, I pushed it, revealing a hidden room. As I peered into the darkness, I could tell there was something in there, as I was staring and adjusting to seeing this person ... thing, it started to approach. The entire wall slowly opened up to allow the being to come out, it looked like The Pale Man from 'Pan's Labyrinth' and it started lunging down the corridor directly at me. As I ran around the corner, I woke up (or I thought I had) I was lying in my bed totally unravelled and a moment of extreme dread and fear came rushing at me, I was trying to scream for help but nothing was coming out of my mouth. I started to panic and in that moment I heard a familiar voice from the shadows saying and comforting me 'it's all right' - my fear suddenly turned to utter sadness and grief - I finally woke up from the dream within the dream. Having such a hardcore nightmare upset me tremendously but thankfully I was able to fall back asleep.

I sometimes do only because I'll forget how high the heat should be and how long and don't feel like digging in the trash for the package or leaving the package on the counter.
