My guess is that they didn't like us using the 310 to infuse our other specials so quick I think it should only be nerfed for the people who got it and were lower than 300 Light at the time, since exotics drop at 310 if you are 300+

Ah well sucks for those that got it, hopefully next time that daily mission comes around I'm a 300 by then.

Congrats I tried about 4 times last night and it wasn't happen in fact we got worse every time. Looks like the rune stones do tell you were to go for these "hidden" exotics.

I'm a bit overwhelmed, but pretty stoked to be back. A lot has changed.

Play the story. Even the green engram drops in the first dlc were taken king items for my hunter and were better than any year 1 gear he had. That's what I was doing last Friday. Ran through the crota dlc missions and was almost 200 light by the start of the house of wolves missions.

Immediately bought enough Black Spindles to make all my special weapons 300. Put the 310 into my Stillpiercer since they'll be lowering the light anyway.

unfortunately it won't be 310 when it comes back. Next time it comes around it'll be 290.

Yes, it's sucks that infusion will be required to get it back to 310 but hey those that did get it will not be able to keep it at 310 it's getting patched.

Welcome back, my friend!

I hate to agree with Benny, but just start the story from the beginning, making sure you pick up all of the quests available in the Tower (assuming you have TTK) and follow them. You may wish to use the telemetry that automatically boosts you to level 25.

If you don't have TTK yet, then do the usual daily bounties, run story missions at the higher levels and run lots of strikes. You'll rack-up engrams, which should all be better gear than what you currently have.

If you're on this weekend, I'm sure we can grab a couple vets and run through Crota with you. I know...baby steps.

Edit: Almost forgot, get yourself a ton of focused light from Red Bull codes to use. They really help leveling up fast.

We tried it multiple times with different folks and ended-up rage-orbiting after never getting close. Need higher light and better weapons. You can't expect to get through this firing an entire magazine from a Rabbit into a shielded fire-boomer without even taking his shield down. Crazy...

tried with a few different groups, but no luck. we couldnt get to the last room with more than 4min

i did beat the nightfall quest though, so i got a 300 fusion. that brought me up to 290

I got that helm too, for my titan and while it has a higher light level than anything else on my titan I cannot wait to replace it with something else. I HATE the look of it. I am really just over all the hive looking gear. Should have been Cabal themed since they are at least involved in the story line.

It works out great for me at the moment because it's 290 defense. I have been focusing on my Hunter quite a bit and have only accomplished the story with my Titan so far. This helmet plus the exotic chest piece I got the other day and my extra Supercell is nice. Leveling him up without the extra effort.

It's the Darkblade Helm. It's only for a Titan and it's one of the strike specific items. I got it from the Sunless Cell Strike.

I'm pretty sure you need to find 5 calcified fragments for Eris to give you the quest.
