I think I got the quest for the Chaperone but I don't have "The Last Word" can I buy that out of the kiosk in the tower?

the experience/level curve is massively steep. Within 2 weeks, 1 week if you play a lot, you'll only be marginally behind players who've been playing all along.

The only real advantage they'll have is that they will have been able to pick and chose gear for longer, so they'll have more relevant traits on their kit.

I stopped playing entirely shortly after Crota expansion, and never finished it. I picked up the game for the first time in something like 8 months the weekend before TTK came out. Between that and TTK coming out I level up 2 toons all the way to the end of Year 1. TTK came out on Tuesday, and by Friday I had one of my toons over 290.

The game is a fast run up to a slow grind.

With marks and a shard you can.

OK just wanted to make sure, I was being told that I could only buy it if I already owned it.

I have two Crests of Luigi so I'll just scrap one of those. I think they are both Year one's.

How do I check that?

If you own y2 exotic then you can buy the blueprint for shard and glimmer.

If you don't own the y2 then you needed to use legendary marks.

I think he is saying he never had the last word though and to the best of my knowledge you had to have acquired the weapon at least once to be establish the blueprint of it and to collect it. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but if you have NEVER had that weapon or armor then you cannot buy it from the kiosk correct?

Yes the only exotics I own are Vex, Red Death and Gallahorn.

The chaperone bounty is tough. It's probably been discussed already as I am behind. With the substantial nerf to TLW it isn't easy. I've gotten up to 53% in four games but two really good games. One game I had a 3.5 K/D and only went up 10% whereas the game before I had a 2.5 K/D and went up 22% so I'm not sure how they score it.

Here's what happened with me: I did the exotic bounty for Bad Juju. I used it a few times, and I didn't like it, so I dismanted it thinking I wouldn't want it. I'm curious to try it again but when I go to the kiosk, it tells me I have to discover the Bad Juju first....WTF????

I thought I read that if you broke it down and didn't have the exotic when year two came out, it wasn't going to be in he kiosk for you.

That could've just been a rumor when I read it too.

You probably already know this, but you don't need to make kills with TLW to count. You just need it equipped. Snipe/hide until heavy, hide again until everyone blows theirs, then mop up. Rinse and repeat. Not dying is more important than kills (of course, you still need kills to advance your score).

Killstreaks matter, your bonus if you are on a 5 kill streak is substantial, but I went about the quest a different way. Took longer, but oh well. I have that part of the quest done.

Yup! What I did was, only equip TLW once I got my super, and once heavy dropped. Once done burning through super (golden gun +4 with archleophage symbiote), and or heavy, unequip it.

Once you unequip, your progress is frozen, and vice versa.

Oh, and also equip TLW as you are about to win a match, you get bonus points too.
