If you haven't checked out #4 you should give it a shot, out of all the DF releases thus far (and most recent Code Red DVD>BD upgrades) it has the largest picture quality upgrade from the original Code Red DVD. DF did great job of zapping a lot of the print damage while also improving the grain structure and density significantly.

Re: #5, I am going to guess more Code Red DVD back catalog upgrades (as there is tons left of it), most of DF's non-Code Red stuff is more recent. But I am perfectly happy with that as a lot of those old Code Red DVDs are in really rough shape. You never know though, as it seems DF also licenses a lot of Multicom stuff and they have a few older HD titles CR hasn't released yet.

I need that commentary. Ordered. I wish they would have put the 4th Drive-In feature on sale too. I would have picked that up as well. All 4 for $60 is a good deal, but I already have the first 3.

Mirror Mirror was on my top 5 blu-ray wishlist for ages. Hope they knock this one out of the park! One of my favourite rentals from back in the day. Have a framed poster of this one.

I agree the price is a bit higher than the 24.99 one would normally pay for a release like this.

On the other hand, Dark Force spent extra money and really did a great job of cleaning up the print damage without hurting the grain. Asking an extra $3 for this work on a niche double feature like this doesnt seem unreasonable (around $14/movie) - though you probably wont truly appreciate the vast improvement over the DVD until you see it in person.

I took some A/B pics of the same frame, Blu vs DVD here to demonstrate the big improvement:

Very true, and thanks for the comparison. But it's effectively only $15 per title when purchasing the 4 pack. So if there is one thing I have taken from these bundle offerings it's that it pays to wait, literally. I do all I can to support any of these niche releases, but sometimes it just comes down to if my excitement for a particular title meets the asking price. Which that will be different for everyone. I'm sure a lot of people have already snatched it up, but putting it on sale opens it up to another group of potential buyers who wouldn't buy it otherwise.
