Thanks for the heads up! Just switched the country in my app to UK and made a new order. Saved me about $6 USD, so my total is $77.23 (with gift wrap and Global Priority shipping). Could save another $5.50 if I changed the shipping speed to Global Standard, but I'd have to wait a bit longer to get it.

It should have saved you approximately $11.70. 1 GBP = $1.17.

Yeah, the shipping cost was different between the two orders. Higher on the new one for the same exact service (Global Priority). Not sure why. Also I think that boosted the tax before the discount was applied.

The old order was showing $83.03 USD at today's exchange rate. The new order's total is $77.23.

I would have at least expected for the price it would have been in a hard slipbox. This is almost guaranteed to get dinged up good during shipping, especially if it's shipped in an oversized envelope or bag, or those wraparound cardboard things Amazon UK likes to use.

Those who want the set to arrive intact might be better off ordering from a shop known to pack items better than Amazon.
I ordered it with giftwraped form amazon.co.uk. Hopefully that will help a bit.

That's unfortunate. It could've been the one way to hear it in surround after the LLL album reissue that was released a short time ago.

I actually haven’t gotten that far yet. I just got to the part when they are first encountering the cloud.

Does anyone know if they made any improvements to the Officer's Lounge scene?

I can't remember where I saw this, but there is no difference between the P+ and 4K content-wise.

The master is the master at this point, and it is highly unlikely further changes will ever be made.

Scored mine from the UK with that Amazon APP discount. My total with the upgraded shipping option is £63.59. My regular total for the Amazon domestic release was $91.50 with sales tax. Just saved myself $15 including some upgraded shipping with the UK discount.

I'd like to know how many pages and what exactly is in the Complete Adventure book. I'll assume it's not as good as this one:

Also, I've read comments that The Art of Star Trek is more satisfying and has more images than the The Art of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. And it's dirt cheap too.

I don't have the second Art of Star Trek book pictured (yet) so I can't speak authoritatively on it.

However, taking a quick peek at the information offered on the Amazon listing, it seems the second book covers all of the T.V. series and movies, whereas the the first Art and Visuals book focuses specifically on the first movie.

So yeah, it doesn't surprise me that it has "more pictures" just by virtue of the fact that the book covers the entire franchise. It doesn't really seem like an apples-to-apples comparison to me.

Now if the person meant that the second book has more pictures of TMP specifically than the Art and Visuals book, that would be good to know - though, honestly, I'd be very surprised if that were the case.

Well I have both books but not home to give a quick view of both and cant remember either.

However on a related note I spotted on Amazon a book for ST II on the art and visual effects matching the TMP book.

If I got the Limited TMP set and the others individually would I be missing out on any content?

Jeez.....almost september and NO screenshots available...that is so strange in comparison with last year.
Last year we had a ton of screenshots and this year.....nothing! And we are one week before the release.

The only good thing about this is: There are no panic attacs in the thread (yet)

Looks like it'll come out next year. Cool.

Well last year the remasters were up earlier and available on more platforms so I assume were easier to rip and extract screen grabs from, at present I think its online iTunes that has the new transfers for 5 and 6 but give it a week and we will have all the comparisons we could ever want.

If you add the 5 disc UK Complete Adventure set to the individual releases of 2-6 you will have all the content available but I am sure next year there will be another set with even more exclusive content so I am not going out of my way to try and get the best of the best as I know it will be replaced next September anyway lol

If you get the UK TMP set, no. If you get the US TMP set, you'll be missing TMP theatrical and Director's Edition on standard Blu (but they're both available separately).
