I see people talk about this every once in a while.

The idea of "the well drying up" for genre films or exploitation films.

It's never happening. Vinegar Syndrome is never going to run out of films to release. (Releasing foreign genre films is proof of it, too.)

Compare the early VS to the VS of now. Now they are releasing foreign films. That adds to my point. Also, they just released Looking for Mr Goodbar and Invasion USA. Do you really think they would have released those films years back? They have also just created a sublabel (Cinematographe) that continues to push outside of their lanes.

It's not that it's going to happen, it's already happening and will continue to trend outwards from their original genres as well.

Man. So many good sales, so many great deals, such wonderful releases... I definitely went overboard. Riding a high? Dealing with things? Who knows. But what a great time to be a collector. And thanks to all who posted these sales as they dropped. So cool that there is a rich community supporting physical media and spreading that knowledge and joy around. My wallet may be drained but my movie-obsessed self is happy.

Indeed. I actually skipped Criterion this time because of how much I spent elsewhere. From Kino to Ebay to Amazon to Vinegar Syndrome, just a great time for collecting.

What are the odds of a Cyber Monday sale at Orbit DVD? There's a few items I want, but there's the age-old dilemma of risking the used items going OOS vs. missing out on savings for the new item.

Unearthed seems to have sat this one out. I was hoping to grab Village of Doom and Tokyo Decadence.

I always wonder how places like this are able to stay in business selling physical media. I can only think it's just a sideline for them and not their main enterprise?

Nova Media's annual Winter Sale is back. 50% off most movies all month. Shipping is super expensive so this is the only time it's worth buying anything. Their slipboxes are good quality. They're region A. They do a very good job wrapping things for shipping. Shipping is fairly slow, so it's a toss up whether you'll get your order before Christmas.

For Canadians: they ship via Korea Post, so it gets handed off to Canada Post, so you're not getting anything until the strike ends.

Thanks for posting this one. Caved in and ordered the John Woo titles that they have. That shipping was more expensive than all the stuff I picked up put together.

I got a "shipping" notification five days ago, but the tracking still shows pre-shipment. This seems unusual for Kino. I reached out to the directly, but it anyone else dealing with this?

They're probably behind on orders. My order was approved for packing nearly 5 days ago and still has yet to ship.

Yes, I had the exact same issue. Notified it was shipped 5 or so days ago and usps has never shown receipt of the package. Normally my KL orders come blazing fast. I emailed about it yesterday...

Is there anyone in IL (Schaumburg to Romeoville Area) who wants to order a few titles from Nova so we can split shipping between all the movies?

Is Leon the professional 4K extended director's cut? It states on the BD audio extended edition but nothing for 4K.
