Hey guys. I only have played the vanilla version. I don't have any of the DLC packs... was wondering if any of you guys are in the same boat... I'm thinking of picking up the taken king along with the other DLC... but only if I know i can have a community of people to play with... I didn't have one before so the game died pretty quick for me... any who... just curious if there are any others like me out there... or others willing to go back and play the story missions and such...

We did the Ogre using the KISS method. Slow and steady, killed just as getting enraged, but it worked once we got into a good rhythm. Tethering the beast was just enough in the absence of weapons of light. Look forward to the finish, if it's so much easier. We lost a ton of time with the jumping puzzle that followed, mostly trying to get the nearly worthless chest.

Got a nice chest piece from Golgoroth, and it's nice to be able to hit 300, if I choose.

Tried out the KF raid for first time yesterday and managed to get to the Golgoroth part. Didn't have enough firepower to take him down after many tries.

Yeah we may need to cancel it for tonight then as Casual is not able to play tonight either and not everyone has confirmed.

Sunday in autumn in North America. People are watching sports, I guess. If you plan one for tomorrow night, I can usually make it by 630 CT.

Using The 4th Horseman in Mayhem Clash is a blast. I have had some of my best Crucible game in a long time. Below is one of the better ones.

Ammo drop in pvp gives 4 rockets!

Almost got my Hunter to Raid level Light – whether I can actually complete the raid, I'll probably find out in the next few weeks – and I've almost got my Titan to level forty so I can finally put down all this shite gear and start slapping on the stuff reserved for level forties and enjoy the actual game. It's weird how many barriers TTK adds, considering they said the point of this update was to remove them all.

Hammer of Sol is definitely my favourite of the three new supers, although I absolutely hate having to play against it in Crucible. That said, I have come across a few Stormcallers who have absolutely torn me apart before I've even been able to chuck a hammer, it seems the damage increase for that super really spikes through the universe if you have more than two enemies in one place.

What barriers are impeding your progress? The only thing in my way seems to be that there a far fewer gamers playing Destiny than there were a year ago, which is completely sensical. And that most activity planning has left the forum; the reason behind that is puzzling, indeed.

Try Mayhem for getting your ability kills.

Ability kills were fine for me, just get them through regular play. The material farming really pissed me off.

I don't get the reference at the end of the post?

But I just mean that now you need to grind to level forty, then once you get to level forty you need to grind yourself to the correct light levels for everything. I appreciate it's to keep the game fresh but with the ladder/light system and the new Legendary mark system, I'm throwing on armour that has no benefit to me at all in the hope of tipping the lottery to finally get a piece of armour that both keeps my light up but also has ability I can actually use. It took me weeks until I got Legendaries I'm actually happy with on my Hunter that I could just take them with me and give up on the lottery but God was it a pain getting there.

Undeniably the bounties are now far more intuitive and I love the way you can drag a Legendary along with you if you like its perks but Destiny went from being grindy for high level stuff (which is understandable but still super annoying) to now being grindy for absolutely everything which is frustrating when you went from being able to enjoy the full content to being suddenly locked out of everything and forced to play the game is a singular way to get all the content back.

Yup. I had to get void ability kills on my hunter. Per Scarletknight's advice, mayhem crucible was the easiest way to get it. I finished it up rather quickly after a few games.

Waiting for arms day now to get my sword!

Putting the call out again, tomorrow morning at 6am CST I and a couple others will be on. If we can get 6 we can possibly spend an hour or 2 doing part of the raid (I have a Golgoroth cp), or if we can't we can at least do the daily and other stuff.
