Quibi was always a horrible gamble. I'm for streaming co-existing, but I'm not watching shit on a ****ing cell phone.

Just how often have you been partaking of these PVOD rentals priced at $19.99 each? Knowing how cheap you are, I doubt that you have paid for a single one. You're probably waiting for someone to buy the disc, when available, so that you can then buy the code for cheap on this forum.
Some of the Movies aren't bad The King of Staten Island, High Note, and The Invisible Man, but you are right $20 is a little too high for a Rental. I could buy two Digital Movies or more if I wait a little.

The Invisible Man is better than ‘not bad’. It’s pretty good. Obviously needs to be watched via 4K Blu-ray though.

The Invisible Man was a theatrical release. I know because I saw it in theaters before they shut down.

While High Note and King of Staten Island may have originally been theatrical releases I guarantee neither of them would have set the box office on fire. Unlike Tenet, No Time to Die, Wonder Woman 1984 and many others which would never go straight to VOD because they would lose a fortune. Many streaming only people tend to be cheapskates.

Invisible Man was the last film I saw in theaters before the shutdown. Loved it! I will get the 4K disc, but will wait until the price goes down.

Thanks! Things aren’t too bad. Glad to see the usual suspects are still around. Still no internet at my place (cheap ass landlord), but that’s not a bad thing. Hell, I barely have time to watch the BD’s I rent through Netflix. I’ll try and pop in more when I can find the time. I miss our back and forth’s. Until then, keep the fires burning and leave a light on

Watched two or three weeks ago on BD via Netflix by mail disc. Better Q than VOD at one tenth the price (my average is about $2 per title).

I don't know when I will get around to watching my 4K disc of The Invisible Man.

I took a Gone With The Wind detour from my American history documentary marathon and now I am watching all of the extensive extra features that were included with the 70th Anniversary blu-ray edition. It will take me two nights to view them all.

When I am done with that I will finally be leaving the Civil War and I will be resuming my documentary viewings with those covering westward expansion and native Americans; I have many hours worth of these, so I will be immersed in the 19th century for some time yet.

Peninsula,’ Korean Zombie Thriller, Sets 8K Trailer Ahead of Cannes-Backed Debut - Variety 6/16/20

Quote:
“Peninsula,” a Korean-made zombie horror action movie, has unveiled an 8K trailer ahead of its premiere in theaters this summer. The film is a four-years-later sequel to “Train to Busan,” which smashed multiple records around Asia.

Despite its genre film status “Train” got its launch at the 2016 Cannes festival as a midnight screening, before conquering the summer season in Korea and the Asia region. “Peninsula” is set for a similar course, having been named in the official selection of this year’s virtual Cannes.

It is aiming for a July release, but the exact date has not been locked in due to the uncertainties in the releasing calendar caused by the coronavirus outbreak. Distributor Next Entertainment World and its rights sales unit Contents Panda say that international releases will be closely co-ordinated as soon as the Korean outing is confirmed.

Korean cinemas reopened last month. And, after an initial hesitation, audience numbers are beginning to swell – the top five films earned over $3 million this weekend – and distributors are now rebuilding the summer releasing schedule.

You guys that still go to the Theater regularly, are you going when they open up in July? Unhingedis first out July 10th, then Mulan the 24th and Tenet has been pushed out to the 31st. Are you guys "Biting at the Bit," and ready to hit the Cinema?

Yes, I will be there. This is the longest I have ever gone without seeing a movie in the cinema since I began going to the movies. The only problem is I use AMC Stubs A-List since most of the theaters closest to me are AMC. They better not go bankrupt or I will be one geek!

The last I read concerns real issues if they could not open.

Movie theaters around the world are reopening, with AMC Theaters, the world’s largest cineplex operator, announcing on Tuesday that “almost all” of its locations in the United States and Britain would reopen next month. Over all, theaters in 90 percent of overseas markets will be running again by mid-July, according to the National Association of Theater Owners, a trade organization for movie exhibitors in 98 countries.

L.A. and NYC Movie Theaters Hope to Reopen July 10

Quote:
Movie theaters in Los Angeles and New York City hope to reopen on July 10 in a key development for the return of the box office after an unprecedented hiatus.

The country's two largest moviegoing markets are crucial for Hollywood studios as they gear up to release big-budget tentpoles Mulan on July 24 and Tenet on July 31 (the latter was originally set to open on July 17, but moved last week).

The first two new nationwide releases set to hit the big screen since all in-door cinemas shuttered in mid-March are Solstice Studios' Unhinged and Sony's The Broken Hearts Gallery on July 10.

Yep, that’s the plan. Also, can’t wait for Halloween Kills in October.

Hmm, that one is not really on my to watch list. Never been a Halloween fan.
But this year I still hope to see WW84, Bond, Top Gun: Maverick, Dune and A Quiet place 2 in cinemas.
I'll do my part to try and keep them alive.
