I find long articles/news stories off-putting and will avoid reading them unless it's a subject I'm passionate about. I just can't seem to focus long enough to properly digest blocks of text. Sometimes I'll be reading something on my phone and I'll go, 'Is this article over yet?" lol.

Will it be overkill with rear surround and have I put the atmos speakers in the best position?

All speakers are at ear level except from atmos. Another idea I had was to put the surround back speakers (the ones behind the sofa) in the ceiling and put the atmos speakers in the front part of the ceiling instead.

I have the Q Acoustics 2050i as 5.1 system speakers today and the 4 speakers that I have purchased is the Canton 120 CD.
I believe the recommendation if you are only adding 1 pair of Atmos speakers is to place them in the front stage. IMO, that would also work better while adding rear surrounds. If you also use the Yamaha DSPs, it will do a great job with your rear surround field and imaging.

It’s been cold out for the past couple of days so I haven’t been drinking enough water and I got myself a bit dehydrated. My thumbs have cracked open on the sides.
I’ve gotta make a better effort at drinking more water. But at -42C (-43F) with the wind, that’s tough to do.

As someone who has always struggled with dehydration, definitely drink before you get thirsty! Once you feel thirsty it's too late.

OT: I put my bicycle back together today, after one year of not riding, it's been in pieces in the back of my truck since our move. I'm hoping once I start riding again I can shed some of the weight (almost 100lbs) I gained over the last year and feel good again(I've been battling depression)

Staying hydrated was something they really made sure we did in Boot Camp. We would be in the barracks in the evening and they wanted us to drink all of the water in our canteens. In case anyone didn't, they would have us stand in front of our racks and turn the canteens upside down over our head I don't recall anyone ever getting doused though hehe

And I also stabbed myself while in Boot Camp with the front sight post of an M16

They look high-end, but I bet half of the people wearing them if you were to ask them the time they wouldn't know either.
I wasn't familiar with that watch but I found it on Bloomingdale's site. I guess it's from the Museum collection which I have heard mentioned on this watch collecting message board that I go to. Any idea how much it cost?

I'm in the middle of some health issues and, because of the pandemic, a couple of diagnostic tests have been delayed for months.

Today, I get an email saying that my doctor for the last 20 years is retiring and the clinic can't find another doctor to take over his practice. They're cutting me loose and say I'll have to find a new doctor myself (not easy in Canada).

Canadian medicine may have advantages but it certainly has issues. I've spent 5 months on a waiting list for tests and now I'm on a waiting list for a doctor .

Amazon keeps showing me a watch that I clicked on once. It’s a Citizen and exactly the type I like.
I don’t need another watch but am severely tempted.
Damn you civicx!!

Actually, I just ordered another one from the exchange site. They had another sale so I got this guy right here. I actually had my eye on this one back in 2020 but it had sold out and it just came back in stock (at the brand's site) yesterday or the day before and it popped up on the site so it was fate

Had a family emergency and had to leave town/state ..
Put my mail on hold.
I keep getting delivery notices.
I'm gonna be so pissed if none of my 25 packages are on my doorstep!
At least I have the email confirmation for mail hold.
That'll make it easier if I need everything replaced.

Oh, I just googled Movado watches, I think that was the best example I could use without having to re-host the picture (I'm lazy...)

I actually hadn't seen a pure black background Movado watch before. The one I posted looks pretty nice.

(I cheated and reverse image searched, right click on image and search image with google lens)

$895, yo. Museum Classic.

However, I personally would go with the other Museum Classic instead and I think this one at least has some pretty sweet diamond hour markings, looks like a combination of classy and blingy.

Just checked out the Movado website and tried to filter all their watches by material. It's a shame they don't use tungsten anymore. I wonder why they stopped using it.

Those are pretty fancy. I checked the exchange sites and they have some Movados although maybe not the exact one that you'd want. If you decide to get one, let me know.

Why is it, that when things go wrong, EVERYTHING goes wrong. Spent most of the day installing a new fan for our pc. It doesn't work. Ordered pizza. Went to the car, the battery died. I call the pizza place, change carry out to delivery. Pizza gets here, the order is wrong.

It's like a cartoon.

Confirmation bias. You don't care on the days when all the mundane things do go your way.
