Usually between 11am-2pm (eastern). Lately the announcements have been early in the afternoon.

It's never been an issue for me. My opinion is that if the 'victim' has forgiven him and believes that he shouldn't be prosecuted, etc. then there's no reason for me to be upset with the guy. Of course, i've never really looked into all the details of the case, as in if he knew her age, etc.

Of course he knew her age..... of course he's guilty of everything they charged him with and probably more..... but none of that would ever effect my ability to enjoy his films......

I might see O.J. Simpson, and immediately think "there's a real scum-nugget" But I still laugh when I think of the Hertz car-rental/Naked Gun movie scene with him...... and I don't have a problem watching "Towering Inferno"

If Kareem Abdul Jabbar goes on a nursery-school-killing/raping-rampage, am I supposed to destroy my copy of "Airplane!" ???

I think not..... but just to be safe, I'm going to watch it again before Kareem loses his marbles.

There's a belief that the victim simply wants to not let the incident ruin her adult life like it did her childhood. It's a high profile case and I sincerely doubt she wants to go through the media aspect. I wouldn't imagine there's an awful lot of forgiveness, but more attempting to forget.

Good filmmaker, but not someone who I'm going to financially support in any way. One of the UK cinema chains shouted at me over Twitter for (semi jokingly) encouraging people to sneak in to the screenings of The Ghost Writer if they wanted to see it

In a similar fashion, one of my friends quipped 'When are we going to start referring to Mike Tyson as 'Former Convicted Rapist' as opposed to 'Former Heavyweight Champion'. It seems a lot easier for the public to get over horrendous crimes if the person accused is able to entertain them otherwise.

(Naturally this didn't happen to Gary Glitter who still deserves worse than he got, but you won't be seeing any of his songs used in advertising or any attempted comebacks from that guy at least.)

Speaking of whether or not personal feelings prevent us from enjoying certain films...... "Che" is on IFC right now for those interested.....

Another day filled with mindless tasks whilst waiting for the announcements. It's the only reason I got up today. Our school still has no students (day #5) and there is absolutely nothing to do here...

Here's hoping for a CC version of "Q: The Winged Serpent." Richard Roundtree's best!!

Seriously though...Nolan's "Following" would be a nice surprise!

And for my "never-gonna-happen-but-wish-it-would" pick: Dreyer's "Vampyr."

It is none of your business.

j/k We're located about 45 minutes north of Charlotte, NC, in a small town called Newton.

It snowed last Sunday at about 3 am...1-2 inches, maybe a tad more. And we've had no school for 5 days! Teachers were given an option to come in yesterday and today for workdays.

The back roads were very icy and our county is large...very large. If a school on the other side of our county, or school district, has an area where a bus cannot pick up students, then all the schools will be off.

Where I used to live, in NJ, we'd get tons of snow and still have school. Streets are plowed by the town up there. Down here...they are not equipped to plow all streets. Snow sits around. It has been under 30 degrees here all week, so anything that may melt during the day, refreezes again in the evening.

It's been a great movie week!

Its always something I think about, but usually doesn't affect my ability to enjoy his films. I definitely feel bad for the girl, this case has dragged on for so long. Makes me wonder how many girls had similar incidents with famous people and never reported it because they fear the same thing will happen.

If the wife is up for it "yes"

She's on the fence about it.... The run-time is an issue (since we'd be leaving the kids with a sitter etc) I wanted to go tonight.... I think if we wait, we'll end up seeing "Roman Holiday" which isn't a bad thing either!

His past that he has never dealt with. I won't be buying any Polanski. I hate that some within the community shrug it off because he directed some films they like. Go have sex with a 13 year old and flee the country before final sentencing.

I in no way embrace what he did, but come on, the man has apologized countless times, and the girl has said herself that she is very over it and forgives him. I buy my Polanski with confidence. He made a stupid decision, and that shouldn't at all affect whether we should like his movies or not. His films are brilliant regardless of what he did, and I have had no problem buying them.

Not at all! I'm going to start my Saturday schedule earlier so I can make the 5:15 screening. I love Roman Holiday

I'm not going to stop myself from watching great films just because of a director's past.
