I'll be getting this game but i wish they hadn't redesigned Cole to look more like a "hero" and recast the voice actor. I thought the Cole from the first game was perfect. He was a dark, brooding character who was having a hard time dealing with how is powers were changing his life and also having a hard time deciding if he wanted to use them for good or for evil. IMO Cole isn't supposed to be heroic and GQ like Nathan Drake, but someone who relunctantly accepts the drastic changes in his life and accepts the fact that his destiny is not to be normal, but to save the world

Here's the rest of the GameInformer screenshots without watermarks. You can see two or three different head models for Cole looking through all the screens and Sucker Punch has stated they're still not finished with him.

And if you missed these...

That's a good amount of difference in hair length.

I wonder what he'll look like when they lock in their final design.

Saddens me that his appearance is distracting everyone from the rest of the game.

Judging from these screens I'd say we'll be looking at near-on or the same as Uncharted 2, as far as aesthetics.

Same here, man.

I don't get what people don't like about is new look. He can blend into the general public better now.

I personally like his new look a lot better than in inFamous1.

Infamous 2: The Evolution of the Militia

Quote:
Creating enemies for a game isn’t as easy as just sketching out something that looks cool. Video game designers want their characters to have personality. Art teams sweat over every little accessory they design for a character, and create elaborate back-stories to inform their decisions. Sucker Punch game director Nate Fox gave us an exclusive behinds-the-scenes look at the creation of one of Infamous 2’s new enemy gangs: The Militia.

Another interview here:
http://www.videogamer.com/ps3/infamo...view-2437.html

Quote:
Q: Just how destructible will the environment be?

Brian Fleming: It's sort of like the rule for climbing, which is what looks like you should be able to climb on it, you should climb on it. So what looks like should break, we want to break. There's always going to be a line. We can't have you break the ground. We can't have you break the entire church. So there's always going to be a line. The thing that actually limited us more was the technical realities of making everything break, and we've dramatically increased the design of our breakable system such that we could support something like those verandas in high density areas. You're talking about thousands and thousands of individually breakable items. We designed the verandas and we did a demo to the team everyone was like, these are great! And the engineers are all like, oh my ****ing God! That's our job, is to make stuff breakable.

It could just be letting us know that a certain amount of time passed between the two pics.

Me neither...and they really need a better way to track things like stunts, shards, etc. It was really a pain in the ass after putting this game off for a few months to try and pick up again. I didn't know which stunts I had completed, trying to read the online shard map was insane. Actually, they should get rid of shard collecting altogether, as it's really only a pain in the ass for the people trying to platinum the game. All others won't care one way or another, and there is WAY too many for a simple hunt.

A system similar to AC2 needs to be implemented for tracking feathers, basically narrowing it down to small districts, rather than an entire map. Also, there should be some type of map that can be found that will ID shards, kind of like Riddler maps in AA.

I think those Militia guys will be even harder to take down than the Dust Men. I certainly had a hard time going through the Warren, and how many times I had to strike the Dust Men to keep them down. These Militia characters look like they have more professional modern assault weapons, and more advanced armor.

Good thing Cole's getting himself some new powers.

Looking more at Cole's new look, it seems that the only real difference is the length of his hair. I don't remember looking at his bare arms much in the first one, if at all. The screens with him and his shorter hair (which I like best), is very consistent with his look from the first one.

Still, I liked the voice actor from the first one, but I'm willing to give the new one a shot. Very happy to have Zeke back, love the jacket logo on his back. (I'm a bowler off and on)

That hover "drone" that Cole was firing at reminds me of those ones that you fought in the Historical District in the original. Makes me wonder if the First Ones will return. Since they developed the Ray Sphere, and you go to the place where it was developed it wouldn't surprise me it they turned up again.

With all this content and detail, isn't it wonderful that we have Blu-ray to drive this generation?

Edit: Maybe the militia guy in the middle of those three is related to Michael from Halloween.
