I would really like to pick this up at the next Criterion sale. Has there been any word of a release of a new scan or restoration on either blu ray or UHD? Just wondering if I should wait buying it

I love this movie. Top 20 for me, but only my second favorite Cronenberg, behind The Dead Zone.

All these years, I have not seen The Dead Zone in it's entirety. That will soon be rectified this month with the Shout release

I picked this up from the Criterion sale.
I'll have to look it up because I forget where I read it but is it true that when the 4K comes out that the Criterion blu-ray is going OOP?

Did any unused scenes turn up? Cronenberg wasn't sure how to end it, so he filmed a bunch of unusual scenes, that never appeared edited into any version. Extra shots or scenes are in the TV version, but none of the other stuff.

I was just researching current releases (on DVDCompare.net--highly recommended if you've never used it before) because I saw the announcement for La-La Land's upcoming release of the entire score and found this:

Almost bought it then realized it was a CD. Going to wait for the vinyl to drop tomorrow on Mondoshop. Naked Lunch and Crash will also be restocked then too.
