So if I do MoviePass is that for every theater in my area that accepts it or I can only do it for one theater? Glad all my theaters accept it. I don't plan on going to chains but the mom and pop theaters and spending a few bucks on concessions

The most I'm willing to pay for this is probably 15 a month when it gets that high. Otherwise at 10 bucks a month I plan on seeing the same movies multiple times and movies I was on the fence on. Definitely see a movie like valerian I wasn't willing to pay for.

Kept getting error message after error message. Entered all my info but couldn't get final confirmation. Gave up and figured I would try tonight late. A few minutes later, lo and behold, I get the confirmation email. Lots of good stuff hitting theaters starting with It in September.

I'm almost positive there's no deadline or limit to the number of people that can sign up. If you do a Google News search, there are several articles from the past couple of days on Moviepass and how it works. What surprises me is they actually send you a MasterCard debit card thing to buy your tickets.

Also does it mention how many times I can watch a day? Is it once per day only or once per theater a day and I can go to another same day to watch. |

You get to see one movie a day. You can only buy a ticket on the day of the showing. How it works: you go to the theater, check in on your smart phone, movie pass loads the money for your ticket onto the debit card thing, and you use the debit card thing to buy your ticket.

Really good interview with Mitch Lowe that covers why they can do this at $10 and why AMC's big fuss is a bunch of nonsense.
https://www.cnet.com/uk/news/moviepa...interview-amc/ So you don't have deals with the big theater chains? Quote:

I had this service a few years ago when it was $30 a month and I thought it was a great deal. I probably went to 4 or 5 movies a week. Then they switched to the 24 hour waiting period so I cancelled. At $10 a month plus a reset every day, I'll probably jump back in.

I agree AMC can't stop Moviepass from doing this. However this $10 a month for unlimited films looks definitely unsustainable on the surface. Unless their data mining operation turns out to be a big success.
