Same here. If the transfer is from beautiful new 4K master that I can watch in 2D, then I'll bite...and then sell off the 3D disc.

Same here, would be so awesome. Hard to think though that Fox won't do the same as the old 2D disc as it sold well and only "some" people was mad. And since I Robot pretty much sucked with a "new" transfer and Predator has much grain from the beginning I need to see this before believing it

You guys can't sell off the 3D disc. I expect this to be, like I, Robot, a single disc with both the 3D and 2D versions on it.

So does the film have a proper scan now, or are they using the same de-grained transfer for the 3D release?

I'd like to see a 4k scan without DNR and with new effects for the 3D release.

Granted, they were showing it on a top of the line JVC 3D TV so the conditions were optimal. In the closeup of the Predator unmasked, I’ve got to believe his little tendrils poked out of the screen a little, but maybe that’s just because I wanted them to."

Cool fanboy review and all, but it really can't be more clear with less grain, since grain makes up the clarity. Less grain means less detail.

We need more first hand reports and technical details about the transfer from booth visitors. Hope this winds up around $24.99 when it is released in December.

Sounds like nothing has changed on the transfer, still DNR'ed to death, to the point all the grain/detail has been removed.

It will be interesting to see actual full reviews of the disc in December.

When it ships but it looks like they pre authorize the money from your account, so your bank will hold the funds like its coming out. I called them yesterday to find out.
