Both arrived today and I quickly scanned over both discs since I was on my lunch break from work. Golden Voyage looks okay (it's 1.66 even though it states 1.85 on the back of the box), kind of grainy with a decent amount of detail. Some effects shots look a little worn. Eye of the Tiger is a little less grainy (better film stock perhaps) and looks detail looks a little better than Golden Voyage, but like the other film some of the effects shots had some wear and tear. Both Caroline Munro and Jayne Seymour looked stunning in 1080p, and Patrick Wayne's acting looks to be on par with a wooden log.

A shame that Twilight Time doesn't offer reversible cover art. The new cover for Golden Voyage is okay, but the original poster art is better. They feature it on the back cover of the insert booklet. As usual, not many features.

![]() ![]() It must have been hard to stay focused with Caroline Munro next to him most of the time though. She was stunning in this as always. ![]() |

For those of you like me whose order is still pending, here's the scoop on the shipping delays for the Twilight Time December releases. Golden Voyage arrived on Friday at SAE, so they could not begin fulfilling orders until then at the earliest. A snowstorm then interrupted the process and slowed them down getting orders out the door. Not just a little slow down, they got backed up pretty good. They are working hard to get caught up but are many, many orders behind (as in thousands). Those who got theirs shipped already were the lucky ones that went out before the weather turned bad.

Speak for yourself. Both of these films have the Doctor from Doctor Who in them, and I love to see them ham it up. Patrick Troughton in Sinbad and The Eye of the Tiger and Tom Baker in Golden Voyage!
I'm joking of course. Though I love Doctor Who, I watch these for the special effects, as all do. |
