No, I don't have anything to do with that. I'm guessing it's just because of time constraints, I got him the scores pretty late last night.

For me the biggest surprise is how well Se7en scored. I believe it got more votes than any other film, except for maybe Goodfellas, (just not the highest votes). It seemed to find its way into everybody's list. I think it's a very ordinary mediocre film, it looks like a TV-show episode to me, I wouldn't even consider it for my top 100.

The funny thing is I own about half of the top twenty on Blu-ray or DVD, but only The Big Lebowski was on my personal list of favorites. So it's not that I feel it's not a list of good films, but I don't feel it's particularly inspiring either.

I am happy at least that my last choice, Kore-eda's fantastically meditative ode to cinema and memory, After Life, is above The Boondock Saints, even if only because of alphabetical order. Any chance we can swap the actual symbol for Pi in there to similarly spare Darren Aronofsky the embarrassment of having his first work below Troy Duffy's?

Personally I don't think that's nearly as surprising as seeing Satantango as #72!

Well, I'm okay with the results. Seen them all except for LA Confidential, voted for about six of them. Might just be a little disappointed that there's not enough love for Baraka, American History X, and various others, but I think most of what's on there are darn good films anyway (and I do feel a little bad for not voting on The Goodfellas or Shawshank Redemption).

That's why I had very little enthusiasm for this decade poll. By this point, the bad taste of children completely takes over as the overwhelmingly dominant factor. I was actually surprised that some good films made the cut, I thought it would just be a three-way slugfest between Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, and The Matrix, with the rest filled out with even worse popular tripe. Jurassic Park may have finished a bit high, but I would take it over all but two of the films that finished ahead of it.

...Oh well, I guess at least it proves we weren't rigging the results.

... and it's still barely half enough points to even get it into the top 100, so who really cares?

How 'bout you score the next one, and we'll see if you do any better.

It wouldn't hurt to just correct it. As far as I see, thats the only mistake in the whole list. And frankly I don't see how my saying to correct a mistake is any sign of disrespect to the one who is calculating the polls.

"the bad taste of children"? condescending much?
that is strictly your opinion, which bears no more or less weight than anyone else's, including mine... which is that the 90's are by far one of the BEST decades for film, second only to the 80's

The 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's & 80's were better decades for movies than the 90's.
The 90's are exactly when movie making just started to decline and once we get to the 00's, It was completely ruined except for a few movies.
