Same as at Bullmoose and a few of the other stores that often carry low stock discs.

The 4 Movie set makes the most sense to get since it's less than the cost of the International sets if you wait for some of the sales.

Just a heads up for anyone wishing to acquire the OOP KISS ME KATE. Amazon has at this writing 15 copies left of their MUSICALS COLLECTION including THE BAND WAGON,CALAMITY JANE,SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN & KISS ME KATE for $26.95.

Thanks to a poster on the Dial M thread, I see this is getting a rerelease on WAC (along with Dial M) September 10.

I just picked this up in the Musicals 4-Movie Collection at Dollar General for $9.95.

When looking up this film I saw that it only has 9 total Audience Score reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. That seems like a shockingly low amount...

It's a ridiculous amount!

"Kiss Me Kate" (particularly in 3D) is a terrific film from all standpoints. It's a great adaptation of a great Broadway musical even better in 3D. Either the "9" total Audience Score is a misprint or just too few real film lovers have found it.

And a really great set it is!! All 4 movies are worth seeing and two are outright masterpieces: Wagon and Rain and Kate isn't far behind. Particularly with the 3D version, the RIGHT one, available.

I'm glad it is being kept in print. It's a very fine example of how spectacular Golden Age 3-D could be. You can tell that just about everyone involved in the production was incredibly talented.

Same as a poster above, FWIW, yesterday I found the 4 musical set with Kiss me Kate in 3D at a Dollar General for $9.99. It came with an envelope with some cool printed pictures from the 4 movies.

Hi! I’m having issues with the 5.1 mix for this Blu-ray. Whenever I play something newer - from Twister (1996) to The Hurricane Heist (2018) - the surround sound works great. Using the same setup, when I put in Kiss Me Kate, or really any classic movie mixed in 5.1 or 4.0, I get mono sound registering on all speakers. Is there some sort of setting I’m supposed to have set? Thank you in advance!

This is a 3.0 stereo track in a 5.1 container. You should get sound from the left, center, and right channels and nothing from the back/side surrounds.

For older movies that were originally mixed in 4.0 and have been transferred to Blu-ray in 4.0 or 5.1, I am able to get full surround - dialogue in the front, soundtrack and effects in the back - when setup through my TV; output is in Dolby. When I set it up through the projector, surround works with all Blu-rays and DVDs, except for Blu-rays of older movies mixed in 4.0 or 5.1. Output is only in PCM.

Is there a way I can switch my Sony UBP-X700 to Dolby output?
