Oh I'm not saying it's all inclusive (but re-reading I guess it comes off that way). I just meant that I would like the main experience to offer co-op if you want it. Drop in, drop out anytime. Otherwise the characters would be AI controlled.

There will be and it will more than likely be different at each store like the 1st one. That is the reason I am not preordering right now. Once I know who has what I will make my decision.

List of preorder stuff that was offered with the 1st one.

Quote:
Pre-order Outfits

In North America and in the UK, Gamestop and Rockstar collaborated on a pre-order bonus in which customers could vote for one of three outfits that Marston could unlock in the game. Each outfit came with a different bonus. For example, the "Deadly Assassin Outfit" allows Marston to regenerate "Dead-Eye" twice as fast.
The "Savvy Merchant Outfit" would halve the purchasing price of ammunition and guns and double the selling price for both.
The "Expert Hunter Outfit" would double the amount of provisions the player could get from the skinning of animals.
Voting was open to all, but only those who pre-ordered the game received the winning outfit, the "Deadly Assassin Outfit."

Other Pre-order Bonuses
Along with the Gamestop pre-order special, there are several other pre-order bonuses through other game store chains throughout Australia, North America, the U.K and Europe. These are the War Horse and the Golden Guns.
The War Horse is a black horse with a blonde mane, tail and markings, along with one white "sock" on the hind foot. The War Horse is faster, stronger, and rarer than any other horse in the game. The player will always be able to call a new War Horse if the old one dies.
The Golden Guns pre-order included two guns, the Repeater Carbine and the Cattleman Revolver. These gold-plated guns give more fame with each kill, allowing you to progress up the ladder of fame.
The official online Rockstar Games store, the Rockstar Warehouse, offers a Red Dead Redemption t-shirt as the pre-order bonus.
Wal-mart pre-orders included a set of the cards used in the in-game Poker game.
A Limited Edition version of Red Dead Redemption was announced in Australia, the U.K. and other parts of Europe. This set includes the game as well as all 3 available pre-order bonuses (Deadly Assassin outfit, Gold Guns & War Horse), along with a soundtrack.

To the elitists on twitter and reddit correcting everyone saying "It's Red Dead 3 not RDR2". Well would you look at that...those people weren't actually wrong now

While I'm excited for this, I'm holding my reservations after how they've handled GTA V.

They should. There's no reason this day and age (besides developers getting pay offs) to not release a PC version day and date with the consoles. The games are developed on PC's in the first place. All they're doing is giving the middle finger to a section of the market.
Good, I'm sick of PC elitists.

Honestly, I don't game on PC so I can't say I care if it was on the platform or not but I can also see how PC gamers get a complex when they shove hundreds if not thousands on their systems and then expect games to get a release but the truth is that exclusives can and DO have a place in gaming or where they don't belong on some platforms.

Generally, I know the PC probably could handle it and it will get a release eventually but I don't like that a lot of whining is done around exclusives when it's been this way for a while now.

I've been so happy all day. Great news to wake up to. Between this and Mass Effect: Andromeda, my PS4 is already booked for next year (assuming this doesn't get delayed).

A few of the missions were really good, but many got very repetitive with racing the horse to point a to b. The thing that really made the game very memorable for me, would be the beautiful open world to explore in RDR.

Surprised to see it'll be called Red Dead Redemption 2. John Marsten needs to return in some form. He's too cool of a character not to reuse in some way.

There was way too much pointless side missions with lame hunting and gathering stuff. Hopefully they are more intense this time instead of just riding a horse a long way to do boring things.

weirdly enough i was on the other spectrum, enjoying the hunting part of it. the only thing that bothered me back then was
[Show spoiler]hunting the bison to extinction as an achievement.

With the way GTAV has been polished, i hope this kicks it a notch.

More intensity will help, yes. The gun fights were nicely done thankfully. I'm really hoping the hero/s can swim this time.

I enjoyed the hunting aspect also. The bears, that was exciting stuff as they would stalk you in the woods, then all of a sudden attack!

I kind of enjoyed that (racing the horse back and forth) as it gave me a chance to enjoy the landscape and scenery a bit. The thing that made it most memorable for me was the
[Show spoiler]timing of the song and the actual song being played when you first go into Mexico
.

Pretty much sums up why I still love and hold RDR in such high regard to this day.If there are crazy good deals on a XB1 S come Black Friday I might get one just to replay RDR since you can't play it on PS4 right now and I no longer have my PS3 and copy of the game on there. Also Forza Horizon 3 looks great also.

I was considering this myself if nothing else than to have a UHD Blu-ray player for $299.

The most I would expect is a $250 standalone system or $300 bundle with a couple of games. I actually think the standard Xbox is the one MS will push the sales on as they can drop that down to $199 and look really attractive against the competition
