Yes I did notice a few visible vertical lines here and there and a bit of green fringing to the edges of the rocket in some shots. I think overall I'd give it a B or 4 star rating as I feel the positives swing it for me personally.

Also, I thought the extra feature could have gone into far more detail regarding the 65mm scanning etc FWIW

I am also interested to see if its a different encode. blu-ray.com lists the UK Dogwoof releases as BD-100 with 92.49 Mbps bitrate and the Universal Studios releases (France, Germany, Japan) as BD-66 with the France release specifically noting a 59.98 Mbps bitrate. Also the Dogwoof releases say DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (48kHz, 16-bit) and the France and Japan releases list DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (48kHz, 24-bit).

With Criterion finally moving into 4K UHD, I am hoping this comes true.

So I watched the 4k UHD and was a bit more bothered by the pinkish tint that the HDR seems to exude. I went into the settings of my Panasonic OLED and changed the colour space from REC 2020 to 'Native' and this has to my eyes improved things dramatically in terms of colour whilst maintaining the bright highlights. This has toned the colour down to something far less garish and more natural looking.

I'm honestly surprised and annoyed with the recent news of new upcoming NEON / Criterion 2023 titles, a 4K of this wasn't announced ... or maybe (?) (please, please, please)

Sorry to dig up this old thread but after waiting long enough for a definitive version of this film, it doesn’t appear the original 4K disc will be “corrected” or re-released anytime soon. I was wondering if anyone has access to both the Dogwoof AND Universal discs to confirm if they are the exact same botched master. The bitrates are drastically different, as well as slightly different audio so I thought one disc might have an advantage. If not, does anyone have an opinion on the best standard Blu Ray? The bitrates are also different on each release but it looks like the German one has the higher bitrates (around 30mbps) as well as the 24 bit audio. Can anyone confirm this?? Thanks!
