Generally I think 2022 has been a weak year but the handful of games that I’ve liked I have really liked. I’d be shocked if anything topples Elden Ring for me but I still expect Ragnarok to be an all-time favorite as well.

Im confused. On PSN there is a $60 standard version that says PS4/PS5 and a $70 that says the same. What is the difference?

I would assume so but it says PS4/PS5

This is reminding me of the Horizon situation but that game only said PS4 (with a digital PS5 upgrade)

Personally not going to be able to play this game for a while, but an unlocked 4K frame rate mode is interesting. I have a feeling this is more fuel to indicate that a PS5 Pro might be in the works or they're priming for a PC release as an alternate possibility. The thing though is that if a PS5 Pro does come out, i'm curious to see how it comes together.

Strange, the only two pre-order options I had were the $70 base game (ps4/ps5) and the $80 deluxe. Even after pre-ordering, it still only shows those two options. Best Buy, GameStop, Amazon, and Walmart all show
physical copies of Ragnarok for $60, but it’s ps4 only. Could be an error, hopefully it works out in your favor.

Will this game get review bombed from XBOX Fanboys the way The Last Of Us 2 did?

In recent memory, God of War, Bloodborne, and the original release of The Last of Us were almost universally acclaimed. Not sure what you mean about that TLOU2 comment, though.

The Last of Us 2 got a 93 average on Metacritic but user average of 57.

Those I’m told are review bombs from Xbox guys who can’t play it

Had the game install a few days ago.

I could play it at 1440p @ 80fps.

However 1800p is the sweet spot on a 4K TV if the game can’t do both 60 & 4K. So will definitely be playing Ragnarok in Default Performance Mode to get the best Balance in visuals & FPS.

Target shipped my collectors edition early, I got it Friday. The swag is pretty cool-especially the mjolnir replica. Too bad I can’t redeem the code until the 9th.

That's the problem with digital, that you're force to oblige to their digital rules.

Had this come with a physical copy (like it should have) you would've had the upper hand at being one the first to play before the general public. What's shady is that the retailer already knew no one was suppose to access the game until the 9th given the digital release rule, but they still shipped it early anyway.
