I'm not surprised. CL set 1 had only one of the 3 movies commonly available on dvd. Set 2 were all on the Glamour Collection. I suspect people would rather not splurge on upgrading to (films they already have) on bluray. Too bad. I guess this means we're stuck with youtube quality videos of those other neglected films. :-(

Sorry if it offends anyone - not my intention - but I still ain't watching no Vanilla Ice!

Man, those are crazy numbers on Vanilla Ice. Just thinking about it gives me a headache. The Durbin set was the first one I bought. I bought Audie Murphy, but that was one that I was least stoked about. Go figure.

The one positive thing I am taking from that post is the Film Noir sets seem to be selling well, which is fantastic.

Really? I thought most of those who frequent this site do exactly that. I certainly do. And with CL DVD glamour set, that was a flipper - very happy to upgrade...

Regarding Deanna Durbin blu-ray releases:

The Kino Lorber Insider posted something to the effect that sales of their first Deanna Durbin set sold sufficiently poorly that they cancelled plans to release a second set. In fact, I believe Kino cancelled plans to release more Durbin movies and this is why Universal released the films themselves on individual blu-rays.

I was talking about average/casual shoppers, not the diehards here.
Having said that, is there still hope that Warner Archive might tackle a few of these VHS only films in the near future?

Again, it's just a theory I'm positing but it's the same deal as with Carole Lombard. All of the films on the Durbin blus are on dvd sets.
In other words, what I'm asking is.... is it possible that the Blu sets would have sold better IF there was one or two films newly available on them? NOT previously dvd?

Not to get too far off topic but I'm pretty sure that the titles included in KLSC box sets are, specifically, titles that they don't think will sell well enough to release individually. Supernatural and the forthcoming White Woman were only available as MOD DVDs. This was also true of The Eagle and the Hawk until its inclusion in the 2016 10-Movie War Collection—but I'm sure there were way fewer of those pressed than of any of the Franchise Collections. (Now and Forever was part of the Shirley Temple Franchise Collection, but maybe Shirley Temple still sells?)

New Price Drops

$10.49

$10.99

$11.20

Actually, National Velvet might be an old deal - apologies if it has already been reported - but the others are new drops slightly below what they were before.

There are probably other drops, but I'm highlighting the ones that will definitely be cheaper here than in the upcoming sale.

For what it’s worth, the MovieZyng sale price works out to $13.24 each plus a flat $2.00, so if you order five titles they’ll be $13.64 each (and if you order eight they’ll be $13.49 each, and so on).

That said, for those not looking for quite so many titles, and who don’t mind ordering from Amazon, even the three I quoted are great deals. Thanks for posting them!

At this point, I would be more than happy to spend a little bit extra to give the smaller, MovieZyng the sale than Amazon, hopefully leading to future sales...

This is incorrect - they are charging $2.99 for the first and .99 for each one after that. This is mentioned in the first post of that thread.

They keep insisting on using their own math, but this is the breakdown. And no tax charged (except IL).

$49 for 4 movies
$2.99 shipping
$.99 shipping
$.99 shipping
$.99 shipping
---------------
$54.96

Divide by 4 and the total price for each movie is $13.74.
