The website now says that pre orders will be up starting July 25th. And blu-ray.com has a released date of September 26th.

The 1st pre-order happened back in April and came with a ltd edition signed poster. This is the no frills edition.

Count me in among those who begrudingly paid $55+shipping for the non-special edition. I have to admit, even though this is an expensive blind buy, this is among the titles I'm most excited about this year. I am just discovering '50s sci-fi and it feels like just the right time, with these new UHDs and BDs of War of the Worlds, When Worlds Collide, and Invaders from Mars. I'm hoping that UHDs are in the works for other big classics like Forbidden Planet and This Island Earth, and maybe some new restorations for Ed Wood's films as well.

I also noticed that in the artwork for Invaders from Mars there was 01 on the spine. Surely that means that this is the first of more to come?

I believe so. So looks like more movies will come. And by the time we get to what ever movie is at number 10 people who were complaining about the $55 would have bought movies 1-10 lol
