You're making a mountain out of a molehill. I just watched this and the PQ is breathtaking...for the most part. Their disclaimer said something about not being able to fully restore those sections without introducing artifacts (something to that effect). The white lines did not distract from my viewing experience at all, and, let me tell ya, I had a blast revisiting this admittedly silly but fun 90's romp. Jaw dropping PQ, some shots appeared a bit soft here and there - maybe those were second unit, poorly lit or whatever but 99% of this looked gorgeous on my calibrated OLED. Maybe the damage could've been fixed if they threw some money at it but, looking at these results, they likely said screw it and released it as is. Most people won't notice or care. They'll be too busy enjoying the film.

I just received my first ever Vinegar Syndrome order (which was Congo and Sliver, both Limited Editions) and the outer slipboxes weren't sealed. Is that normal with VS or should they have sealed? Just wondering. The actual 4Kcase was sealed, just the slipcover/slipbox wasn't.

Most companies don't wrap the slipcover. They only wrap the actual disc case

Most of the times with slipboxes, they do come sealed. Arrow does it for example. So that's why I noticed these weren't and wondered.

Better more entertaining movie than I remember. It reminded me more of Street Fighter The Movie rather than Jurassic Park this time around.

But there has to be 30 minutes of the third act cut from this. The jungle is barely in it, and what we have is all action. Maybe it’s better for it, but I’m curious of its quality. Maybe more establishing the group before killing them off?

But yeah, this was a fun re-watch of a dumb movie with a great transfer.

BTW, terrible cover. That shit looks like late era DTV market. When distributors were hiring less talented artists.
