I agree with DLS,Looking into the cc-290 would be beneficial for your system.

Does anynody here have there paradigms powered with a pio elite reciever?If so how does it sound?
Also what color for 2 monitor 7s rosenut or cherry.

Ah. Makes sense. I'm sure the speakers you chose will do a fine job, I just thought I'd point out the ADPs cause I'm a believer in "the right tool for the job," but the right tool can obviously be different for different people.

Good choice on the 290, you won't regret it.

I say go with the Rosenut but I am kind of partial to them because they are the same ones I have. As for the reciever, I am on torn between Pioneer Elite and a Marantz.

I bought my Two pairs of Paradigm studio 20's there.$ 650 a pair (regular $1200)
It was one of those 3 day clean up sales.

You have to remember also i live in St.Catharines so iam always in there

In my Opinion, if your getting monitor 7s get the center.Then just set your fronts to large until you get the sub.

I just got off the phone with Gibbys.
Paradigm is the only Brand they can't ship to the States. They can only ship Paradigm products Local .
Everything else they sell can be shipped .
It's in there Paradigm contract as a retailer.

I just assumed they could,Iam sorry Brother i had no idea.
The price would be roughly $320 American

It's ok. It's a very good price for it though. I'll just have to keep looking, in the mean time if you or anyone here finds a 290 at a reasonable price I would appreciate it.

I say go for the sub first. In my opinion, one of the real pleasures of good HT is solid LFE, and the Monitors won't give you the kind of bass that a good subwoofer will. Given their wide soundstage and excellent off-axis performance, however, the Monitors should be able to handle "phantom" center channel duty quite nicely until you have the chance to snag a center speaker. YMMV.

Are you from Canada? If so I would get the center before this sale ends - 25% off is more than what most dealers will ever give. It's a lot of savings that could go to your sub funds which you'll be able to get sooner then. If not, get whatever you can get the best deal on. I think both are very important for HT - the center for not just dialogue but a good percentage of sound for movie watching and the sub of course is a big chunk of your HT experience as well.

Have you contacted Alamo Electronics? According to Paradigm's website it's the only authorized Paradigm dealer in Cincinnati. Even if they don't have it in stock they should be able to order it in for you.

I just bought a CC-290 v.6 on ebay two weeks ago for $320.00, shipped! Last week there were also two 390's that sold for around $500.00, which is a very good deal.

I'll send you links when I find them. What is your price range? I look multiple times a day because I want to find some atoms.

Don't worry you will find them. It took me about two months, but I was able to get the monitor 7's and CC-290 for around $875.00. I'm not sure how much the monitor 7's are retail, but I think it's around 799.99? I know the CC-290 is around $499.99 here in Sacramento, so you can really save a lot of money. Of course, there is always a risk with ebay and it's not from an authorized deal, but hey, I'm from Vegas baby... roll the dice!

I keep looking at eBay too. I put in "Paradigm CC-290" at the search bar but nothing comes up. Is that how you do it too or is there another way? My price range is $320, but if you find one for lower than that I will take it.

Under search type in "Paradigm Monitor" or "Paradigm Speakers" and always hit the newly listed. Do this multiple times a day, so you can be the first to see newly listed items. When I found the CC-290 only 3 people had looked at it and I'm guessing it was the poster clicking back and forth on his auction. You gotta be quick!
