HMV Canada - $7 Trade In DVDs for Blu - Page 12 - Blu-ray Forum

I just used this deal for the first time in a while. These deals were at the Yorkdale store:

The Man With The Golden Gun w/slipcover
Licence To Kill w/slipcover

These two were in their 2 for $50 deal in the store but they were included in the 2 for $40 deal on their Web site. I knew this because the main reason I went was to complete my Bond set (of those released on blu). They checked it out and gave me the 2 for $40 deal.

The Day After Tomorrow $20.

Sunshine
Predator

Surprisingly, these last two were in the 2 for $30 deal. I was expecting Sunshine to be $20.

So I picked up five for $55 plus tax.

I also saw I, Robot in their 2 for $30 deal. I already own it or I would have grabbed it. If someone wants to pick it up for the $8, there was only one left at Yorkdale and it may cost more at other stores, so be quick.

looks like your doing some SERIOUS post birthday spending. your collection has doubled! from 100 to 150 in a matter of 2 weeks. very nice, but must be very financially draining at the same time. even at $13 bucks a title its still $650 dropped in the last 14 days or so.

Don't worry. Now that you got most of the stuff you want, it will slow down drastically..... it happened to me too, that at one point, I tripled the amount of BRs in my collection in a matter of 2 weeks!

Three of the five were on my wishlist, so I had to pounce at $11 each.

There's no way I would have got any worthwhile return for the five DVDs I traded, and now someone else has the chance to enjoy them.

i always say that to myself and granted i have slowed down alot from buying before. but i still find a way to spend and buy titles that were never on my wishlist to begin with so deals can be very bad cuz they entise you to spend $ you wouldnt normally. however i do agree with you in saying that is the most value out of those old dvds you have.

Love this sale, picked up Sunshine and Master & Commander, 2 for 30 , minus 14 off , $18 total, taxes in . Hopefully they"ll keep extending this sale

On the site it shows these as 2 for $40...What store did you go to?

Glad to see this deal still going, traded in 2 more yesterday and got Spaceballs and Navy Seals. Spaceballs was 2 for $50 and Navy Seals was 2 for $30... got them both for $35 taxes in.

I was in HMV on Saturday and they had Knowing for $22.99... Was impressed considering its a new release.

both are still 22.99 and will stay that way, because both are E1 releases and they have a special arrangement with HMV canada, actually, all future E1 releases on blu-ray will be that price

next one will be baby on board with lindsay lohan (beurk !!)
