I've heard adjustments to the audio were made.

Yeah. The re-releases don't have inside art. That's one of the reasons why they're so cheap.

If Bane can be heard clearly, I'm happy.

If not, oh well.

I may be wrong here, but I think they lowered the sounds that the plane and wind made.

Ah I thought they were located in the UK but specialized in the US Blu-rays. No biggie, I'll wait on mine from Amazon.

It has a 3D effect, no changing image like the digibook will have.

Not to mention ridiculous amount of black crush. A prominent example to see all of these flaws is the Joker interrogation sequence about 90 minutes in. Rampant edge halos on Joker's face (artificial sharpening/edge enhancement), only being able to see a floating head in the dark with absolutely no detail on or even a hint of his torso (black crush), Joker's white makeup removes many details from his face, due to clipping (overblown contrast), some shots of Gordon lack detail (digital noise reduction). It needs a do-over, plain and simple...

That's the ACTUAL IMAX aspect ratio of 1.44:1. It will be cropped a bit, to make it 1.78:1 for the Blu-ray presentation. Here in Winnipeg, we have 2 different IMAX locations. The oldest location at Portage Place, projects on film, & presented the film's IMAX sequences in this 1.44:1 aspect ratio. Our other location (which is a converted regular theatre room) is at the Polo Park Silver City location, & projects it's IMAX films digitally & at 1.78:1 roughly. When I saw it at the Portage Place location, the image on film in the taller ratio was truly much more awesome.

Does the DVD for The Dark Knight Rises present the IMAX sequences in their original aspect ratio as an extra feature like the DVD for The Dark Knight did?

Actually the dvd has them included in the movie just like the BD this time around.
