freakin' motorcycle battery was dead this morning!!!

A van hit a motorcyclist on one of my windy country roads this morning, he seemed... o...k... a lot of people stopped to help him and at least he was sitting upright on the ground. So be safe Benny!

thanks leann.....my cousin got hit a couple weeks ago....a full size van pulled out in front of him.

he and his girlfriend spent a week in the hosp but they are both up and getting around now thankfully.

i make sure i wear my helmet and armored jacket anytime i'm on it so i try to stay safe.

today would've been a great day to ride though....95 & humid.

So I'm asked if I want to donate to the "United Way" as I checkout from the beerstore. I say "OK...I'll donate $1". The clerk looks at me and says "It's a $2 minimum!". I'm thinking WTF? I'm DONATING my money to a good cause and you tell me it ain't good enough? I declined!

When I went to Costco they made me donate a minimum $5 to the Japan Tsunami.

To be fair though, I think it's to keep a minimum amount. I'm saying that because people who will donate, in the majority...will still donate. I'm thinking it's best to maximize profits that way.

Of course, I think they should say the minimum....BEFORE saying would you like to.

We ran that same effort for the Japanese disaster, but I don't recall a minimum (could be though). And yes, they should be upfront if there is a minimum donation.

Ah, I don't mind paying a minimum if they tell me first. I can't stand when they Bert-stare you for a bit and pretentiously say "you can only pay the minimum". It's like when you go to a restraunt, and they MAKE you pay a tip.
