This site lists the release as:
4K Blu-ray: Region free
2K Blu-ray: Region B, A
Though do remember the BBC material on these Quatermass sets is slightly different. Region B-locked, and likely 50i.

Kino have a history of announcing titles miles before any release date, in many cases well over a year.

Something like this they are doing a new 4K master so that needs time.

It’s not like they’re Universal, MGM and Paramount titles where they can take off the shelf 4K masters the labels have produced in many cases. Only rarely do they have to do their own.

I'm hoping for a George Woodbridge box set myself.

Yes but, Kino announced Scars of Dracula (1970) last August from a StudioCanal deal they had at the time. It was the first 4K announcement for a Hammer title and I believe it steered up a lot of optimism within the (huge) Hammer community. Since then they’ve announced release dates from that deal as well as their current SC deal. Too many of Kino’s announcements take too long for a release date, as compared with other boutique labels.

But since then, Hammer, themselves have released three 4K titles and are about to release a forth and announced a fifth with a future release date, and all in lavish packages, which also takes time to prepare; the printed materials, box designs and such, not just working on a 4K restoration. (Btw, some of Kino’s restorations have been a bit underwhelming, IMO)

Bottom line: Kino continues to bite off more they can chew and they don’t even release any one film in such a box set. The fact they haven’t been given a 4K master from a major studio is no excuse for a year’s long wait with no release date, which, if or when a date does come, that date be most likely be another two months at least.

Hammer is also only releasing their own films. Look at how many films Kino releases each month. Waaaaaay more than Hammer. They’re simply not comparable situations.

Looks like '36 Hours' (1954) has been passed uncut by the BBFC on top of The Man in Black and Blood Orange. This reinstates 53 seconds cut from its original cinema release.

Possible Hammer film noir/ thriller box set coming?

Oh, I hope so. If they release these individually at high prices, then I won't be getting them.

I'd be shocked if these are released like the other films, not saying they are bad but I wouldn't pay sixty quid for them individually.

Sounds likely - as others have pointed out I don't think they'd have too many takers for £30+ single editions of any of these, so either bundle them or drop the pricing.

£35 is the deluxe price for lower tier films as we've seen with Four Sided Triangle and Shatter. None of these would be at the top tier £50 to £60 price level like Kronos or Quatermass.

Prince of Darkness has been getting lots of coverage, reminders and snippets,
hoping this is leading up to an October release.

Isn't that one of the StudioCanal titles?

I hope you are right, because that would open up for a lot of the exciting 1960-1970s titles, but I am not holding my breath.

Dracula Prince of Darkness is Studio Canal, similar to Quatermass & the Pit.
SC own these rights outright they don't revert to Hammer at some point.

The films Hammer have reclaimed are the ones Lionsgate distributed back in the day in the UK like Curse of Frankenstein and Dracula (1958). They've also I believe got back the ones Second Sight distributed.

You would expect to see those first before trying to do a deal with Studio Canal.

Yeah, but there is some extreme hinting of a deal being in place for at least one unmentioned title so far, mentioned somewhere on here,
which given the releases so far, I would expect to be 'Quatermass and the Pit'.

I expect we'll know in a few months if that is the case anyway.
