I think the Occult Book shop is still in business but... When Ray answer the phone (which is certainly the classic 555-2368 phone number, and the caller is probably one of the kid that saw the 1984 advertisement on YouTube), the phone is red. Which reminds me of the classic Bat-Phone from Batman '66... Something tells me the Occult Bookstore might have another phone number (maybe stated in GB2?) but the 'red phone' has the emergency phone number?! I might totally look WAY too much into this!

Oh I know what you mean. A book store line and a Ghostbusters line. That’d be cool. Like maybe he knew it was only a matter of time before something like this happened again and someone would contact him.

Was gonna post this. The red phone is the Ghostbusters number just plugged into the book shop. He's saying that Ghostbusters is closed.

Awesome trailer. I downloaded the new Ghostbusters app too. Can't wait to get Ghostbusters 2 score soundtrack in the same year as this is finally releasing in.

Thinking of Ghostbusters as a comedy first is how something like the 2016 movie gets made. Huge misfire due to misinterpretation and slapstick BS was produced. GB was always really just the group pretty much playing it straight and sarcastic to the extreme circumstances they found themselves in. I expect this will be similar in tone to the original with some intelligent comedy built in.

Good point. A ghost busting, semi-horror investigation film first, with humor that is not forced but naturally happens through the situations, actor talent and dialog.

The opening quote had me laughing when she answers the ghostphone and says "Yes of course, oh, they'll be totally discreet". Then picturing the disaster mess they create in the dining hall trying to get the ghost.

With the original Ghostbusters, it's made for older audience first, so here's hoping that is the goal with the new one considering it stars kids as the new Ghostbusters team. That's my main concern. Here's hoping the movie delivers good entertainment with plenty of fun ghost busting, along with some horror elements, action and some humor too.

It'll be interesting if this new 2021 Ghostbusters acknowledges the 2016 female team in any way or completely ignore that film even though it starred some original Ghostbusters like Peter (Bill Murray).

Isn’t it kind of weird he/she would take the same female form again? (Even the statue). I mean it can but I would think from Gozer’s perspective it would change its appearance to “update” itself...like be more intimidating.

I loved her cameo in Answer The Call (2016) by the way. All the old cast cameos were pretty good. Looked like they were all pleased to be there.
