Yeah I’m finally starting to see them sometimes in Walmart or Target. They are usually gone the next time I go in so I figure it must be selling really good.

File size for many big upcoming Switch/Switch 2 titles. Credit to Supergiant Games for releasing Hades 2 complete on cartridge despite it being only 9 GB at a very reasonable $50 price.

Larger file size than I would have expected for Metroid Prime 4, at around 32 MB. For comparison sake, the Switch 2 version of Tears of the Kingdom is only 20 GB.

The Virtual Boy is such a strange concept to re-release and I wonder if more Developers have some interest in using this gimmick. I mean, there could be some real potential, especially in the indie scene with a refresh rate of 120 fps on the screen.

Antonblast already made a cryptic announcement towards adding 3D support, but please also a normal color scheme and not black and red. If more creators would come out and support this device (Imagine Mario Galaxy 3D!), I'd be willing to shell out those 80€, but not for those 17 VB-Games that are okay, but much better emulated on the 3DS, which works incredibly wonderful today.

A 4x increase for Age of Imprisonment compared to Age of Calamity.

Here in Germany currently all of the new Nintendo First Party Games are listed for 100€ pre-Order, not 80. Did the prices also go up for other countries? Most Switch Games came out and got a discount at release day for around 50€. Hope this is some kind of error. 80€ was steep, but 100 is not acceptable for me personally. And I collected every Nintendo First Party release on Switch before.

MM is currently showing all new Nintendo Switch 2 releases as 100€.

In the past I always preordered from them and picked them up locally at release date. They always listed the MSRP in the past directly when pre-orders went up.

Thing is, is that the games would have to be tinted red.

Yeah, then that seems to be an error on their part. Probably since they've been bought by a Chinese Investor, something seems to go even more wrong there than usual.

Why though? There are two colorless lenses in the VB Accessoire, why shouldn't the display be able to show normal colors?
At least in the cardboard version it's pretty clear.

Correct. The only reason the VB was an all red image is because red LED's were cheapest at the time. With the Switch 2 powering the image this thing "should" be open to devs to incorporate color 3D into their games.

Is there any reason to believe that will come to pass? The Nintendo Direct segment for the Virtual Boy showed a few games and they were all red and black - looking more or less the same as the original Virtual Boy releases.

Almost half of the small library of Virtual Boy games were done by Nintendo and most of the third party games were developed by companies that have long since gone bankrupt. Not really sure what VB game developers outside of Nintendo will have anything to do with Virtual Boy on NSO.

I mean, yeah, there is reason to believe there could be indie developers who could use the peripheral.
Just as the developer of AntonBlast hinted at.
3rd Party creators have probably seen the VB-Thingy at the same time as we did.

https://www.nintendolife.com/news/20...s-to-outsource

Quote:
A new report states that Nintendo of America is cutting loose around 200 long-time contractor jobs as it has decided to outsource its customer support services ahead of the Switch 2's first holiday season.

This report comes from IGN's Rebekah Valentine, who spoke to numerous customer support staff and sources under anonymity. Many confirmed to the outlet that they were told back in March 2025 that their contracts were being cut and gradually being phased out. None of the contractors have received direct communication from Nintendo itself, hearing instead through their agencies about the news.

Now these contractors are expected to train their replacements, many of whom are based in South American countries, primarily in Brazil, Argentina, and Nicaragua. These have previously been limited to first-line contacts who act as representatives to send the information and problem on to the main team in the US.
Crappy if true. I had a horrible issue with the repair center when I needed my Wii U Gamepad fixed and the CSR's at NoA were all aces. Eventually a manager called me to get it all sorted and offered a free game (I chose Bravely Default).
