Every time I look at a driver on the road they're either looking down at a phone and driving or texting and driving. Sometimes both. Man, that's scary. I used to binge watch car crash/road rage videos on Youtube and there are a LOT of bad drivers out there, sad to say. I bet the majority of those accidents are caused by people distracted by using their phones.

I just had sudden chest pain hit me. I took a nitro pill and checked my blood pressure which was 141/98. I had a heart attack 2 years ago and have a stent so I a little worried. I am going to give the nitro a chance to work and I don't feel better in 15 minutes I am off to the ER.

Tempted to start a thread to ask this but I won't...for now. Does anyone here regularly buy and burn scented candles? Any favorite brands? I'd like to get something that can have my whole apartment smelling nice and with how tiny it is, that shouldn't be too hard. I think the first candle for my new place will be a Sandalwood Tobacco from World Market. Any Yankee Candle fans? While I haven't had many of their candles, I do like browsing through the store and stuffing my nose in the various scents.

Man, I hear ya. I've been in this really weird place lately. I'm not sure I am super depressed. Yet, I am depressed. I can't stop opening CDs/Vinyl and playing them. I open one and sometimes that very same day I am opening another one. The problem is I ditch the one I originally opened and don't go back to it. It just ends up in my sale pile at some point. And I am constantly listening to other music as well. Including my own. And I am also recording music. So, it has made me pretty much sick to death of music. But I cannot stop. It has been going on for almost a year now. And what's even worse is that I cannot seem to sit still or shut off. Even for a movie. I just want to shut down for a while, but I cannot do so. It's like I have adult ADHD or something. I'm really getting tired of it all.

Drivers are the worst. I once saw a driver reading an actual book while driving. And not one of those Nook/Kindle things either. An actual paper book. I can't remember if it was hardback or paperback, but still. Talk about dangerous. And I've seen drivers wearing headphones even though I am pretty sure that is illegal.

I've gotten scented candles as gifts but I'm actually afraid to light them up. I always think they're going to somehow tip over and cause a fire. I lit one up using one of those long BIC lighters, let it burn for about an hour as I watched a movie but then blew it out. They smell nice but I get the same results from a Glade Plug-In (sandalwood is among my favorite scents, BTW).

Ha, I don't even need the candle to tip over to start a fire. Back on Christmas Day in 2012, I was watching Love Actually and maybe a half hour after I took this picture, I think the faux plant on the right went up in flames and I had to grab it and toss it out on the balcony real quickly Luckily no permanent damage to anything inside the apartment!


That display was from BedBath&Beyond and the two candle holders on the left were from Pier 1 Imports.

Jeez, that's cray cray. If I absolutely have to have a candle in my home for whatever reason, it'll have to be plastic lol.

The only object that has actually caught fire at home was one of those cheap toaster ovens. Those things are freaking fire hazards. Thankfully I put the flames out by unplugging the thing and throwing it into the kitchen sink and turning on the faucet.

I haven't had any of those statues in a few years now so I totally forgot about having Leonidas. I'm assuming he was from Sideshow as most of my statues were but I'm not positive. Also in the pic, are Galadriel, Legolas and Gandalf the Grey.
I can only find one other pic of some of my collectibles.
